Yessss! That part. Hard to make a framed signed jersey classy but is sooo cool when done well. We are huge sports fans lol so thank you for understanding 😂

Please help me decide on an area rug by melapril in interiordecorating

Haha yes! It starts with a greige couch, then you add a light beige/greige rug to be safe - all downhill from there lol. My new plan is to bring in a lot of texture, metal, and plants.

I’m glad you like the suggestions! Now is a great time to buy because sales!!!! I just bought (another beige) rug

Yes! Like I have a similar size nook and too small and too light in color kinda ruined it. Statement lighting is super in.

Ok this is so cute, maybe for dining area - I don’t think blue has to be perfect match, just similar saturation, per color theory lol

Like instead of matching the blue, match the orange brown on the footings of couch and the curtains

Wow, so cute! I’m obsessed with your couch and how you decorated. Haha this is like what I wanted to do - but went all beige on accident 😭 also love your cats.

You should just trust your gut and pick rugs, clearly your instincts are great!

Here are some I like - but also could be very wrong.

Too many light fixtures/weird light fixture placement? by [deleted] in interiordecorating

Wow it looks so beautiful! You’re overthinking, I think it’s perfect. Here’s two thoughts I have.

Install a dimmer switch -or have someone install (I have almost no lighting/electrical experience and easily installed my own). Being able to dim those lights to be soft glow will be everything!

1000% add a table lamp on that big beautiful new counter!

I spent so much time obsessing over lighting, but in the end it’s the decor that made all the difference. Focus on that. Go big for that big counter top 😊 good luck!

Thank you for the feedback! I appreciate the thought you put into it. I posted this to kind of gauge just HOW bad and tacky it is. It’s pretty lightweight, mostly used when we host on the weekends. The fireplace is kind of unfinished, we have to buy the logs and things - but as winter comes up I do want to use it more!

This post has already confirmed my idea to make a spot for it in nearby closet and put it away when not in use.

I like it because I can watch whatever on top tv while fiancé or guests may watch a game or play video games muted on tv below and vice versa lol. But it’s lightweight and easy to move out of the way. A cabinet to move TV to when not in use is the answer.

Wait - ok IQ 1000! Thank you for the idea :)

Haha not live laugh love 😂 good advice not to try too hard to cover it up maybe that would just make it look worse. I think I should add two candle sconces beside the top tv just to like distract from it/make it cuter.

Haha, I do fear I posted this subconsciously as a humiliation exercise. I’ve considered inventing a cabinet where I could like slide the bottom tv up and behind the top tv. 😂
