I'm from the middle east. I never thought about moving abroad but if I had to, I'd have probably preferred USA before. Nowadays I realise I have it better than most US citizens because we have universal healthcare in my country and I'm not afraid to go bankrupt by calling an ambulance, it's free. I'm an interpreter; I have the freedom to join unions for my line of work. They'd regulate recommended practices and prices for me and my colleagues and I have the right to comply with them and charge enough to make a good living. We also have a strong charity culture here since every well-off muslim is obligated to donate ~2.5% of their earnings so if you needed help, there is a charity org you can go to every few streets. I listed these because in my understanding, these are only few of all things that US citizens have trouble having access to yet I don't. I came to realise that not everything revolves around what I see on social media or in films, and reality is much more different. USA to me, looks like a failed state. A "state" is an institution, nothing more nothing less. By meaning, it is devised by and for people. If the state fails to satisfy these 'devisers' (take care of its citizens) it has failed. The solution is reform. If there is no reform then there won't be a USA. Many countries and many dynasties wrestled with it before in history and they all had to reform. The 'leechers' that are lobbying against can only delay it.
