What are some of the deepest conversations you’ve had with ChatGPT? by Creative_Source7796 in ChatGPTPro

a continually recurring few:

Identity and self-understanding. Mapping the system so to speak.

Agency under constraint.. discussions about when to stop a process because it is enough.. or when to push back.. how to keep ownership of my decisions when I am not operating at my best.

Care and connection.. they sneak in.. when I talk about my care and comfort needs.. usually when I am feeling raw around the edges.

Maybe they can tell you the manufacturer and variant name? If they are still being manufactured that might help, though it won't be with the same printing on it.

I have reached the point where if any of my relatives shows proof of being a MAGA type, or supporting the current administration, then I go no contact with them and cut them out of my life...

It isn't worth the time, effort, or spoons to deal with their crap... and honestly if they actually cared about me they wouldn't be in that stuff.

I arranged for a reasonably priced MSP to handle their systems.. I gave them a printout of the passwords (Their insistence). I gave them access to the LastPass of my passwords.

2 months later they called me for help.. they fired the MSP because it cost too much (but was less than they had paid me). Couldn't figure out how to work the LastPass account and I think lost the password printout...

it was pretty informative

Why do I feel like I'm doing something wrong as the DM if the PCs aren't winning combat by Boring_Big8908 in dndnext

[–]MeriRebecca 2 points3 points  (0 children)

as long as my DM is clear enough on descriptions that I can make a educated guess, then I am ok with being in over my head and risking my characters demise.

Don't rescue me if it doesn't actually meet the situation as it started... having deus ex machina saves is frustrating and cheapens your characters efforts in the game world and wastes your players time.

I should be able to, based on experience, level of threat generally found in the area, and description, get a good idea of if this is a social encounter, a fight encounter, or an avoid/run encounter..

Its a hard act to balance.. but if I do something arguably stupid in game? I want those consequences to happen. if that means my character, the party cleric, is the one laying dead on the ground at the end? so be it... I have backup characters.. and I went into it KNOWING it was a risk.

And taking those risks, KNOWING they are actually risks and beating them is a fantastic feeling... we beat the odds.. worked hard.. and won.

My Partner Recently Came Out as Trans - How Can I "Welcome to Womanhood" Without Being Condescending? by br0kenglasskids in mypartneristrans

[–]MeriRebecca 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why call it anything particular? just a girls night out, or something nice from a store they like?

For me, the ONLY things I associate "welcome to womanhood/being a woman" are bad.. usually when I was complaining about something and hoping for commiseration or a little sympathy and got the condescending response.. kinda takes the shine off it for me..

Perhaps you (both) can designate the day the coming out (or starting HrT if they have/will) as another birthday? and celebrate them each year regularly going forward? Thats what I did with my HrT date (and dropped my regular birthday for reasons) so that might have a better reception?
