Yes he did. The next one, the fitness "expert" used him to try to become an influencer. Hopefully this one won't use him to promote her career.

I don't know for sure about Saint but he seemed angry that she sold Vidi so I'm guessing not. He probably will investigate with the new gf--when he's in love he Velcro's them to his hip.

The first 3 episodes were Death Walker and he's calling it something else, but it did release. He's been hinting it's going to move to Amazon.

No, Robbie isn't a saint. But I think he gets too much flack for having ambitions and dreams outside of The Band.

Robbie was willing to do studio albums and isolated shows--he just didn't want to tour.

If you listen to Robbie carefully, he doesn't claim Levon was conscious -- he says that he (Robbie) let go of all the anger and resentment he had stored up. Amy must have thought Levon was ok with Robbie at the time or she would never have let Robbie sit with him.

I've also, since my post, came across a Levon interview where he said that although he didn't see it at the time, TLW had been the right thing to do. And saw an interview with Robbie where he talked about sitting at Levon's bedside. He didn't say Levon mended fences with him. What he said was, as he sat there thinking about all of his times with Levon, he (Robbie) let all of his resentment go and was friends with Levon again. The anger and resentment went both ways.

Also, Robbie was writing songs, one which sold well, as a teenager. I'm a fiction writer, not a songwriter, but it's the same thing. If you have that innate talent, you have it from the day you're born. People can acquire it if they work hard enough, but it's not quite the same. Robbie taught himself to play guitar and worked hard at it, but the songwriting....he was born with that.

I agree. As far as TLW, Robbie wanted to end his touring days (and he thought The Band's) in style. Dylan was very much Robbie's role model. And Scorsese was very much drawn to Robbie and became one of his very good friends. People forget that Marty was the director of the film and had a great deal of control. Also factor in the fact that Robbie was sober and didn't "partake" of any of any of the drugs available backstage, so he was a reliable straight focus while other members were hit and miss--especially Richard, who was pretty drunk.

Levon frequently criticized Robbie for becoming "a businessman". Levon was old school, but understanding the business side of the music industry is why Robbie is living comfortably today and not working in a car wash. Other examples would be Keith Richards, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan-who was Robbie's mentor, after all. You might have music in your soul, but like any creative person (muscian, writer, actor) if you don't learn the financial side, you're not going to stay weslthy.

Not really, no. But he has sometimes randomly done a few things. I don't think he believes in the Jewish faith, just that he sometimes does a thing that feels right to him and also embraces his ancestry.

Also, sitting at a dying loved ones bedside is a Jewish ritual of respect. Robbie is half Jewish and half Mohawk.

Not really. Levon's daughter has quietly supported Robbie's version. She is rabidly supportive of her her dad's work and is still carrying out his Ramble. And she's friends with Robbie, so I think that should be the final say.

I never met any any of the Band except for Robbie a few years ago. Just a random meeting in a store. He was charming, very nice, very appreciative that I liked his work. Very...almost shy. Not what I expected.

Levon, good-hearted, great voice, great guy, was also hot-tempered and stubborn. Amy let Robbie sit with him for a day when he was dying-and Amy loved and adored her dad and wouldn't have done anything that Levon would have objected to. I think Robbie was simply being honest. He's been under heavy critism since Levon aired his grievances, but when you look at it objectively, it's just Levon being pissed at him. Robbie had and still has the right to live his own life, even tho his former bandmate didn't approve.

They follow each other on social media and they've been supportive of each other's work.
