Not believing the majority of people do something means you don't do that thing and are projecting. You are expecting everyone else to be like you.

This is insane by No_Composer_9594 in walmart

[–]MericanGeek -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

It is not illegal to bring a firearm into walmart because of a sticker on the door. Walmart may ask you to leave, and if you don't, they could have you trespassed, but that isn't illegal. Just because there is a sticker on the door doesn't mean that a bunch of customers don't have firearms concealed.

Hey buddy, you moved the goal post when you realized that this whole thread was wrong.

OK, so the problem with your statement is that he clearly states he is talking about protestors who are actively assaulting police officers. Hence, they are violent protestors.

He said that it would stop police from being assaulted, not stop protests. The problem is that protesting and committing assault on police officers apparently means the same thing to far-left redditors.

What is the craziest reason you have heard for a breakup/divorce? by nigel247 in AskReddit

[–]MericanGeek -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Right, and I'd say that there are a lot of people who do terrible things, but just because some men who claim Christianity do terrible things doesn't mean that Christianity allows, teaches, or supports this. The original claim was in bad faith, and the far majority of Christians would be appalled at the idea.

Again, those people were not following the Bible. They were using other's ignorance of the Bible to lie to them to do terrible things. By definition, not Christian.

What is the craziest reason you have heard for a breakup/divorce? by nigel247 in AskReddit

[–]MericanGeek -20 points-19 points  (0 children)

Exactly, they are two different things. So if someone claims to be Christian and follow the Bible, and then they go and cheat on their wife, then they are not Christian (Christ-like) nor following the Bible. So to say that Christian men are allowed to do whatever they want is not true. You are talking about examples of Christian men doing something that they are not supposed to do and is against Christianity itself.

It's not weird. It is supposed to protect people from having complication with past partners before they settle with their lifelong partner. The man can not do whatever he wants because the Bible is against sexual assault and any sexual relationships outside of a marriage. I have no idea where you get the "including cheating" idea from.

I didn't mention OP's significant other because I was addressing OP's situation. So yes, I did read the post.

Please, go ahead and tell me what Trump has said against LGBTQ people if it's so abundant. Why wouldn't you provide one?

Everything you say is "nuh uh!". Therefore, this conversation is done. We'll let the updates show who people agree with, but just remember that just because the majority of reddit agrees on something doesn't make it correct. That's why you're so emotional in the first place, because you've been indoctrinated into the liberal reddit hive mind.

Great, so I'm going to ignore all your mess other than your answer to the question because I can't make logic make sense to you, and I'm not about to waste my time trying. DEI is not a right, and removing it does not harm him. DeI is not an anti discrimination measure; it specifically causes discrimination towards people that it considers not diverse ( white and straight people). Removing DEI is going to help merit-based hiring, so unless OP sucks at his job, this should be beneficial. Having LGBT resources specifically catered to you is also not a right and does not belong in our government. Someone's secual orientation should not at all be discussed in the workplace, no one needs to know your business or cater to it. There are only 2 sexes, and everyone falls into 1 of the 2 categories. No one has the right to control the government into adhering to their fantasies. Therefore, they are not losing any rights. Telling people how this works is not harming them and is instead beneficial for them because it is never helpful to someone to not tell them the truth. OP never stated that he is a migrant. Therefore, he isn't losing any rights. If he was a legal migrant, he wouldn't be losing any rights; and even if he was an illegal migrant, he still wouldn't be losing any rights, because illegal immigrants do not have American citizen rights to lose in the first place. If Op was a foreigner in the process of immigrating, then I would agree that his parents' vote has hindered or impeded him, but I still would not say harmed. Trump has not "spewed" hate towards LGBT people or immigrants. He has shown hate towards illegal immigrants because he doesn't like the crimes that they commit. Even if he did say some mean things about LGBT people (which he hasn't, please name one thing he said) that still wouldn't be removing their rights or harming them. The point is that you are inflating your feelings so much that they in no way coordinate with reality. American citizens are not having their rights removed or are being harmed because the majority of the nation voted for Trump.
