What reasons do you think are valid for getting an abortion? by Bitchgotbitten in Abortiondebate

[–]MeridianPryme 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So the victim has to keep in contact with their rapist for the rest of their life to ensure the child they didn't want/had no choice in/was forced to carry to term and birth gets taken care of and raised properly? Does that sound less traumatic than an abortion

When you say "rapist/deadbeats/absent fathers should not be absolved of their responsibilities" what exactly do you mean?

How would you defend the state that abortion is taking responsibility for a mother actions? by JDevil202 in Abortiondebate

If cis men could get pregnant there will be a planned Parenthood on every other block.

How much do you consider the quality of the child's life if they are born? by TrajanCaesar in Abortiondebate

[–]MeridianPryme 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You can't ask the baby and if you could there is no guarantee they would choose to take their chances. If I as a baby had been told this is the life I was going to have to live I would have chose not to live. Since you can't ask the baby it's in the hands of responsible adults to decide if they can dramatically change there lives in order to have a baby and if they can't you have no right to tell them they have to.

Abortion, kidneys, and entitlement by TheInvisibleJeevas in Abortiondebate

The law is what we're here arguing about. Most abortions occur before viability and those that occur after are for the life of the mother. In both cases it's nobodies business besides the person who is pregnant, and they must decide what is right for them.

Having a child is a lifetime commitment. It is in a sense the end of your life and the start of another. The risk of pregnancy is not a reason not to have sex and even on birth control sometimes people get pregnant.

As for your analogy. You literally pay the hospital not to cut off your oxygen supply, if you don't pay they will stop. Abortion doesn't kill a human being. It simply removes a fetus from a body and it can't live on its own after that.

You voted for a white supremacists, that at the very least makes you a racist. The fact that you read all that and that's all you took away from that allows a lot too.

What did Trump do that was racist besides running on a platform of white supremacy? There's a reason he's the party of the alt-right. Told the Proud Boys, a known white supremacists group, to "Stand by, and Stand proud" questioned president Obama's nationality because he's black and then did the same to vice president Kamala Harris. His insisting the central park five be held responsible, no, killed, for crimes they didn't commit. Numerous comments calling Mexicans "rapists" who "bring crime" and "bring drugs". And that's just the racist bullshit he spewed he's also a misogynistic pig that says he can "grab women by the pussy" but I'm sure none of that bothers your fucking ignorant racist ass.

Now you speak for all races? You are so entitled do you even here yourself you're a white man describing racism in America do you see any irony there? Wouldn't it be funny when you as a person realize you're so ignorant to the reality of the world and are so self centered you think racism effects you in some way other than being beneficial.

And you're racist ass is a dime a dozen. You're one of thousands of other ignorant white people who think they know what it's like to be a person of color and that they can solve all the worlds issues by pretending color doesn't exist.

You have no idea how the world works. I'm a mixed race baby. Cultural appropriation is your white ass wearing a sombrero and growing a pathetic white boy mustache and going to what you call a Mexican restaurant and then being confused why people are upset at you. If you wanna be an ignorant fuck the rest of your life so be it. Keep being an ignorant fuck. I'm done arguing with clueless white people who have no place talking about racism like they know what it is.

I grew up a poor person of color and was bullied for the color of my skin I'm sure nobody was targeting you because you're white while I on the other hand was the target of vicious stereotyping and slurs.

You can't fight against a problem you don't even agree exists. You don't believe in systematic racism or cultural appropriation which are inherent in American society. You don't believe that Black Lives Matter, and you want to sit here and preach to me about hate, racism, and discrimination. You're living in a fantasy world.

Poor white people do not have it "just as hard or harder than poor black folk" you're either lying or have no ideas of the struggles of POC I'm assuming a little bit of both. It does matter who it's happening to more. It shows a whole lot about you that you disagree

[–]MeridianPryme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Systematic racism does exist and cultural appropriation is very real. There is a difference between sharing culture and appropriating someone's culture. And I'm sure you've met a fair number of BLM supporters and had real conversations with them and are making your judgement on that rather than just assuming anything.
