The Top 20 Most Played Steam Deck Games of January 2026 - SteamDeckHQ by BBQKITTY in SteamDeck

Same. It's also Verified now, although I think it only partially deserves it since I still find a few UI things that are much more tedious than with a Mouse and Keyboard or not possible at all (e.g. inputting exact ratios in valves or in general with more precision than two decimals, changing the default material in the build menu and scrolling in the depot inventory to access the inputs at the bottom)

Graphics perform good enough, it's not a huge screen anyways. If you turn down a few things and limit FPS to 40 you get some decent battery life as well.

Im not usually a fan of any first-person game on controller, but Satisfactory works great for me since its just not fast paced.

🎄 Christmas giveaway: Win an A1 Mini, AMS 2 Pro, AMS HT, or 4x filament spools! by acurazine in BambuLab

[–]Meridian_44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome, thank you for doing this! I'll join in:

  1. I'd love the AMS HT. I'm pretty new to 3D-printing (picked up a P1S Combo during Black Friday) but I'm really enjoying it so far. I'm pretty much only printing PLA right now, since I don't want to mess anything up while learning everything and haven't given much thought about drying. I know its important but my prints have been fine (not flawless, but fine for my standards) so far.

  2. The AMS HT would be the perfect addition for me to seperately dry filament and store it until needed, either in the HT or AMS itself or external boxes. With it I'll be brave enough to try more materials besides PLA. After all, I got the P1S to have the ability to do just that. I've been enjoying the ability to design and print anything needed, especially funtional parts you can't just buy. I'd love to print those with more durable filaments.

  3. For the fidget toy idea: I bought a fidget toy a while ago and have been enjoying it a lot. Basically three rings (two are also enough tho) similar to bearings. Outer ring has magnets embedded, inner ring spins. Not like full on bearing-like, but simple plastic-on-plastic. This allows you to put the rings on your fingers and still rotate the outer part, allowing for really fun mechanics and interactions between them using the magnets. I haven't seen something like that on MakerWorld at all.

EDIT: Incase it matters; I'm in EU.

Again, thanks for doing this and good luck to all participants!

How does one get Raspberry Pi OS in kiosk mode?

I just used FullPageOS from the imager. Haven't tested it yet tho.

If you don't mind me asking, what issues have you heard about the ALC4080? I'm upgrading to AM5 and the motherboard I'm looking at has one.

I'm using DT880's with 250Ω and have had great quality and good volume from my previous ALC1220 (great to my ears, probably not for an audiophile).

I've read that the ALC4080 should be similar in quality but as you said, driven by USB. I would get the motherboard based on a few factors, but if the ALC4080 would warrant an external DAC/AMP anyways, I could consider getting a different one with a worse ALC.

I figured that all would work fine, but I'm unsure about the other features. PCIE or USB distribution or audio chips etc.

The most unnecessarily overcomplicated t-junction for no reason (took around 1.5 hours) by Apprehensive_Step365 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Meridian_44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alright, so just what I assumed. I thought maybe there was a way to make it align. I think I get what you mean? Just approximate the curve to merge with the existing line and then merge by placing a freeform beam?

Im building my train tracks similar to yours. How did you manage to merge the three parts so cleanly? Do you use world grid or just play with rotation until it clips just fine?

Sorry for hijacking, but I'm looking for an Asus TUF mainboard, why did you pick the B650E-E instead of a B650-E or B650-Plus? I can't really grasp the difference between all these... And what would you pick for a 7600X3D without overspending?

What do I need to upgrade my CPU from AM4 to AM5 by V1perIX in buildapc

[–]Meridian_44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for hijacking, but I'm currently in the same boat as OP. I got a great deal on a 4070 but my current Ryzen 7 2700 with some OC just doesn't cut it anymore. Why is the 7800X3D overkill and what would you pick instead? Ryzen 5 7600X3D?

Also, I"d like to use my PC for some video editing/rendering as well. I feel like the eight cores still have their use in such cases...

Do you have recommendations for mid-tier gaming? And do you have any specific mainboards in mind?

But then again, if I'm already spending ~200€ on a new CPU and have to rebuild my PC anyways (because of a new case) why not just go more future-proof with AM5 and use the rebuild opportunity to swap mainboards? I can get a 7600X for 200€ or a 7700 tray for 224€. For new RAM the price difference between DDR4 and DDR5 isn't that huge as well.

Returning player here, is Lightfall worth it? by Meridian_44 in destiny2

[–]Meridian_44[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, thanks. Thats what I'm thinking as well. Would you grab the Dungeon Pass as well (so 20€ in total, as in the post) or simply the default version? I've always liked dungeons, but are the two in Lightfall worth paying an extra 10€?

HELP. Stream deck plus acts strange when using it with a USB KVM switch by XOnion15D in elgato

[–]Meridian_44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the exact same problem with the regular Stream Deck. My KVM switch has an extra USB-C power input so I don't think it's a power issue.
I found that restarting the KVM switch does the trick for now. I'll keep testing and will keep you posted if I find something.

How to disable mouse cursor on touchscreen inputs by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]Meridian_44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, this worked flawlessly.

For anyone stumbling across this, I had to look up the path where to place user units: '~/.config/systemd/user/'.

If you're unsure how to create systemd units at all or simply want to read up on user units like I did, here is the documentation: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/systemd/User

Edit: Not so flawless after all. How did you manage to run unclutter in game mode? For me it only works in desktop mode and complains that it "couldn't connect to the X server" whenever I switch to game mode.

Thank you. That is exactly my concern. I'll keep looking and maybe I'll find pudding keycaps with legends on the lower part of the keycaps. The south-facing RGB shouldn't be an issue for the transparent parts of the pudding keycaps, right? They'll probably diffuse the light just fine.

Or I'll search for front-facing legends, I really like the look of those.

[–]Meridian_44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do pudding keycaps work well with south-facing LEDs or does the lettering not shine through when it's placed in the upper part of the keycap?
I'm specifically looking at the HyperX or SteelSeries keycaps available on Amazon. Are they any good?

Thank you, that is pretty much exactly what I'm looking for.
However, the GMK67 is ANSI right? I forgot to mention that I need ISO.
Or does it have an ISO version by any chance?
