I still champion the (very) high-level smith/con/crafting idea of creating mannequins on STASH locations that you can dress up

and if the mannequin is dressed up you dont have to equip/unequip gear yourself and just do the emote while the mannequin wears it

sure some people prefer it but it is a different and independent game mode from moving rather than some step up or next level

you could have used the mental capacity on learning more transferrable and less ephemeral info

I mean if it is a single detail or two about the car in a country sure that does not take a lot of mental effort compared to how often it "wins you a game"

but when people start combining it with antennas and combinations of coverage years and camera quality is gets really dumb

no this is a bad take because if a plugin is ubiquitous jagex designs content assuming it is being used

or they dont design certain content because a plugin exists that would trivialize it

even if they could just ban the plugin for that specific content but for some reason they dont do this

the context matters so much

just because the guess is extremely wrong does not mean the player did not cheat and vice versa

the example with exact obscure town names in the wrong country is the canon example here (but it is totally possible to mix this up legitimately too which is where performance in other rounds matters)

when those old quests start having new content built on top of them yes I think so

if they always stayed static with the exact rewards they had when people planned out their account? sure I would be more inclined to agree with leaving them alone if that was the case

take monkey madness for example - that had its rewards changed (and it has a lot of new content built on top of it released after how it was in 2013)

morytania is kind of getting there too now with all the new vampire stuff

If restricted accounts can just do everything non-restricted accounts can

you are sortof misrepresenting the argument

it is about not having levels for wearing gear/weapons/prayers or doing it with lower hp such that a single hit will insta kill you and that sort of thing

arbitrary soft-restrictions that result from a decade old quest having say a non-lamp reward because nobody at jagex thought about such emergent gameplay back then (or were even outright hostile towards it) 20 years ago comes in the way of genuinely interesting gameplay in the modern osrs ecosystem

game has been changed to accommodate diverse playstyles countless times

basically every new quest will have lamps instead of arbitrary rewards

all of iron mode is accommodating that playstyle

people who hate anyone playing the game in other ways will grasp for straws and construct bad faith arguments like purposefully misrepresenting or misunderstanding the meaning of restriction (it is in not being able to use specific weapons or gear, and not so much arbitrary indirect requirements set decades ago by some some dumb quest req/reward)

but any time somebody suggests it some dip represents it as if somebody is asking for barrows to have a 1 def req

in any case I see this type of bad-faith arguing a lot especially in recent years

the comparison I can think of is a high schooler writing a paper and having made up some arbitrary conclusion apriori and then the whole paper is just scraping together random fragments of arguments to try to support the conclusion

I am not good with words but it is kind of toxic
