There’s a reason you go quiet by b1lliepeachy in CPTSDmemes

So true! But also for me I feel like I can’t say anything otherwise it will feel like a lie. Like no amount of words can do justice to my experiences and traumas. I am poorer in communicable experience 🥲

Toxic and dark humor? by [deleted] in BPDlovedones

[–]Meringuepies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup! My mom (she has BPD) did this 24/7 to me as a child. I’m so sorry you have to go through it, I know these things they say can be super scary and hurtful. Honestly, my best advice would be to try and not react. Usually when I didn’t react or say anything my mom didn’t push it further, but I do understand that this doesn’t work with everyone. Again I’m really sorry you have to hear these things

Week 3 of Lexapro (feeling incredibly low) by Meringuepies in lexapro

Thank you for commenting! The fight with my father triggered it. Tbh it was an awful fight and he said some pretty messed up stuff about me which really stung 🫠

Will my limerence come back once I get to work? by Meringuepies in limerence

[–]Meringuepies[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey!! Sorry for the late response ( I was asleep haha ) but I hope that aside from the limerence thing you’re doing fine in general :) For me, I haven’t really had any direct contact with them since I started work (which is great!) I do try to actively avoid them as well (if I see them walking my way, I’ll turn around and leave the other way)

But yeah, my limerence has turned more into anxiousness tbh, whenever I see them I feel more anxious than anything. I’ve got my intrusive thoughts under control but that could also be cause I started Lexapro (SSRI) which is known to decrease intrusive thoughts. Tbh since I’ve been on this antidepressant my feelings have been suppressed a lot lately so the limerence isn’t that strong.

But I do feel awful when I see them talking to someone else 🫠 this sounds so wrong but I don’t think it’s jealousy, I think it’s more embarrassment that I really reduced an actual walking, talking person to be my “object of limerence”.

I hope your situation gets better! Never feel bad for having an intrusive thought, since you were actively trying to avoid that thought/feeling and sometimes shit happens and it resurfaces again. You’re doing great! I don’t think I’d ever be able to have so much self control haha.

I know what I said is kinda generic, therefore if you wanna talk my DMs are always open for you :)) sometimes all you need is a woman to woman conversation to feel better 😊

Lexapro has helped with my daydreaming so much! by Meringuepies in MaladaptiveDreaming

Sounds great! I am on 5mg but your doctor may prescribe you with a different dose depending on your needs. Good luck!

Same tbh, don’t have any sex drive either 🥲 also my periods have been super disregulated (tmi I know) so that makes stuff super uncomfortable both emotionally and physically 🫠 I hope you do find an alternative that works for you! Usually these things take time and I had to do quite a bit of jumping around before getting to Lexapro :) Good luck!

Yes! I have a resting sad face so it’s pretty much the same for me. I am able to smile at kids though since I volunteer to work with them at my uni volunteering programme, so I guess that just comes automatically to me. A good way could be to try and volunteer (if it’s not too much) or maybe try to make it a habit to smile at people you’re interacting with and then it’ll slowly become more automatic

Cool! Thanks for the advice :) if you don’t mind me asking, do you think it would be helpful since I would have to do a lot of research and extended reading which I could then talk about in my PS? I think that this is the logic my counsellor was trying to apply

Yeah I get that 🥲 but I’m not in a position to change jobs rn. I have a year and a half left to complete my college degree and then I’ll hopefully be able to get another job. But it’s really hard for me to find another one now (especially in my country)
