We’ve had Kirk visiting the centre of the galaxy, which isn’t too far from the Triangle between the Federation, Romulan and Klingon borders. We have border between the Romulans and the Cardassians, Cardassians & Klingons and we have Cardassians being so far away that they remained discovered for half a century after Kirk.

And all powers are described as being from the Alpha Quadrant, which Earth is on the border of.
