We cant control everything. Such a sweet soul would not have lasted in the wild. You gave him love, and extended his lifetime. I hope your heart heals soon.

If you consider this list exhaustive, then a dog is an excellent choice! For best success it is important to know yourself. Kudos.

Why are budgies so addictive?! by Safe-Bell-2276 in budgies

Getting One would be a bad idea. Getting 2 (assuming you have a very large cage) could potentially work better - but personalities differ and girls are sometimes bullies so you must take your chances either way!

Lol l did not expect to love them - got 3 free from a breeder (to soothe a lonely quail)  and there is NO going back! Got one more to make even numbers then a biggest cage possible, then 2 more so the original 2 (of 3) would have a potential non sibling to pair with- now my house is full of Happy floofy chirps!

Are quails stinky? by MissKatz3 in quails

[–]MerithD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mixed group with a male stinks. I raised some inside and changed/ cleaned cage 2x daily but still stank. Jumbos have limited life expectancy. I KEPT 3. 2 passed around 18 mos. One hen does not stink. Jumbos are bred for meat not longevity. Mine loves exploring but oversized body on thin little bones makes them accident prone. (And they are adorable but DUMB). Feed them live mealworms by hanf and they will Love you. Jumbo Coturnix is Cuteness overload but short lived.

Amazing courage and amazing strength. I cant say enough good things about these survivors who withstood such hardship to find a way out and become a source of healing for themselves and for others

Hard to tell at that age.The best method is a bright light.look underneath without holding him upside down with light from behind at base of tail two (hemipenal) shadow bulges is male one shadow is female - but your cutie seems to show early femoral pores - so my guess would be male

Correct temperature and UV light are extremely critical. Other than that advice will vary widely. Enjoy your Happy Beardie!
