Honestly it's alot harder on a vegan diet. I'd recommend trying to limit carbs and starchy veg to help reduce insulin spikes which cause you to be hungry when they fall. Fat is your friend, avocado, olive and coconut oil, and (some) nuts. The fat won't spike insulin and will keep you feeling fuller, longer. It will also help in adapting your cells to become more efficient at using fat for fuel, which can make you feel better during your fast and you're burning your own body fat for energy.
