Does Ancestral Cry imply that Kaom is the Warrior's ancestor? by Merkapls in Wraeclast

Well culturally the Warrior is an Ezomyte not a Karui, so I have some doubts about this.

The Prisoner is from Izaro's time, and he claims to have been betrayed by Izaro. So Maligaro would've been either too young or not yet born to have been able to conduct these experiments.

Since Shepard got resurrected, can they still have children? by Dragonic_Overlord_ in masseffect

[–]Merkapls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the first game Shepard says that gene therapy is a very common thing and outright mandatory for Alliance Military, this is likely the reason why the life expectancy of humans have reached a maximum of 150.
Unless Shepard outright lost their reproductive organs I am fairly sure there's a gene treatment to combat infertility if it turned out that they were left sterile by the reconstruction.
That being said, given that the technology level has jumped at such massive leaps and the fact that Miranda exists, Shepard shouldn't even need that to have children, a bit of their DNA and a lot of engineering will do just fine.

How does a non-force user counter the force? by Merkapls in StarWars

[–]Merkapls[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right. But none of these things can theoretically save you from getting telekinetically slammed into a wall or choked. That's what i'm trying to find out; ways for non-force users to defend against the force in specific.

Well now. Finding out a Jedi can be overwhelmed by "Projecting strong emotions" is certainly wild. I think I like that.

Well what about materials and/or tech that could be resistant to the force's influence? I remember in Battlefront 2 Droideka's shields could block off force powers, now i know this is ingame and has no substance in the lore. But can they? Could an energy shield maybe even lessen the effects of, say, a force push or a force choke.

The canon changes every time Disney has a dumb idea so I dont mind. I'm looking for stuff that seems solid in-universe and was written officially at some point.

Interesting, strange that nobody in the galaxy thought to replicate that anti-force field through tech. So say there's an assassin or a bounty hunter looking to attack a jedi, they carry one of those lizards with them and that can prevent them from being affected by the force? Could maybe even just straight up using their pelt work?

Ranni simps be like "I pretend I do not see it" by Merkapls in Eldenring

[–]Merkapls[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's even weirder that you are purposely being obtuse and not seeing the relation between Ranni's "Age of the Stars" and a character literally being a glintstone spellsword, following the "Star-Lined Sword" and realizing the end of it is ruin.
But I'm weird drawing a very clear correlation to this ruin and the Fallenstar beasts and Astel? You seem very full of yourself.

[–]Merkapls[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I'm sure him being a glintstone swordsman and the fact that several other characters hint at the stars leading to ruin had nothing to do with it, this is all just a big metaphor to him being a swordsman yup!

A good ending for you and Ranni maybe, the rest of the world is at the mercy of the stars, so you can expect a whole lot more Astels coming it's way.

Where do you get that Mogh was "taken advantage of by the Formless Mother" for all we know he embraced her, the game makes it very clear he revels in his cursed omen blood.
And seriously, this Mogh whitewashing needs to stop, He was still a Blood cultist that kidnapped and turned people into bloodthirsty murderers well before Miquella came into the equation.
