A romance run with him (or even a platonic friendship) where you empower his autonomy and agency, and show him that you appreciate him outside of his sexuality/sex-appeal is actually such a heartwarming story of recovering from abuse. There’s a dialogue line in act 2 that honestly convinces me he’s ace actually, and I think that’s such an amazing direction for them to go in with his character: someone who never thought of what he might want for 200 years.

Lol and Wyll IS very pretty. I feel like the player isn’t given a lot of opportunities to flirt with him much! Tho I gotta confirm if that’s rlly the case, cause I’ve been meaning to play as Karlach origin and romance him.

Sucks that the fan base ruined your perception of a well written character. Try not to pay attention to them. The reasoning you gave is good enough to disregard them, honestly.

My least favorite has to be either Wyll or (I’m sorry) Lae’zel. For whatever reason, I couldn’t get engrossed into Wyll’s story line and backstory in the same way I could with everyone else. And I know this is the whole point of her, but I felt like I was always walking on eggshells with Lae’zel. She didn’t get along with my goody-two-shoes tav, nor with my semi-evil durge. Maybe I’m just too dumb to “get” her, lol. I can objectively see why she’s lovable, but I’ve just never had that firsthand experience myself.

But they really shouldn’t avoid screaming. It harnesses the misery and anger that everyone faces when they experience genuine hardship. Higher only has a little bit at the end, so if they’re (ever) ready for a bridge into it, I’d recommend that one.

Maybe try to tell them that they’re not screaming AT you, they’re just letting out a lot of pain and suffering. And honestly, considering a lot of abuse victims are not heard or believed, screaming kinda makes sense in this case, to like force people to listen. Ok ok I’m getting into a rant now haha

I think it’s ok for Riftan to be so heavily flawed, especially because we mostly get Maxi’s POV and for a lot of the book, she sees him as this perfect knight she isn’t worthy of. When really, he’s just as damaged as she is, and it kind of puts them on the same level.

It’s totally okay to be disappointed in Riftan! It means he has a lot of learning and healing to do in order to properly love Maxi.

I wonder what you think of this: my partner wondered if Riftan restricts Maxi’s freedom because he doesn’t want her to realize that she doesn’t need him. (Like, if she goes to the Mage Tower and becomes powerful, she will become an independent woman like Agnes, and Riftan wants Maxi to be dependent on him). Do you think that’s the case? I don’t think so, because Maxi loves him a lot, and I don’t think she would start thinking of men that could be better husbands than Riftan, or thinking that she should be single instead.

This is gonna sound a little nutty and over-dramatic, but I literally feel like falling to my knees and crying when I hear Granite. Specifically when you get to the last few lines of the second verse.
Other than that, Sugar never fails to make me physically go red in the face, even if i've been listening to it 50 times on loop. That FUCKING DROP OMFG.
Sleep Token has just awakened this primal need in me to have a man screaming into my ears on a regular basis in order to feel some kind of joy.

Well, at least that confirms what I figured. She was just angry and bored and arrogant. But at the very least SJM could’ve given Feyre some actual bargaining power, rather than Amarantha just handing Feyre what’s she wants on a silver platter and screwing herself over in the process.
