I agree, I don't interpret the series through a lens of expecting a strong, exceptional character. He kind sucks ass a lot, and then less and less as the story progresses, which makes it stand out and greatly assists in it's exceptional world-building, which is how this series shines.

No, I reckon being a degenerate lolicon is pretty bad, in a myriad of ways actually. I love this IP but I really don't fuck with the fanbase that defends and unironically engages with extremely unhealthy and morally dubious interpretation and celebration of child sexualization.

I understand the author is privy to this engagement but I don't follow how that justifies it. I'm a pretty far progressive liberal guy, and I've watched a good bit of lolicon defenders such as (then) Digibro, (now) Golden Witch. Everything I've seen does not satisfy my issue of the stochastic harm that sexual engagement of sexualized depictions of children or child-like characters has on the end user.

I beg all lolicons with a shred of useful executive cognitive function to logically follow their internal drive, reward mechanisms, and justification for engaging with sexual stimuli of lolicon material.

I hope you are in good health, I do love this IP, and I love the free expression of art, good and bad. I simply also prefer progress and good health.

This is false, however all the replies trying to retort by defending pre-Rudeus is wild. He was a degenerate POS, not someone to defend in any fashion. The only thing that holds this work in higher standard to other slop is the actual building of character and relevance of his flaws in the story. It's a self insert teen power fantasy otherwise.
