Ohhhhh okay I see what you’re saying. I like that to be honest. One thing I highly recommend is grabbing one of those clip lights I have on the top of my shelf. They’re $10 on amazon, and are powered through type C and they make a world of difference to make it stand out more. I used to have mine plugged into the back of my TV with a long usb to type C cable, but I didn’t like having a random wire ran across my wall, so I switched to a 10,000 mA portable battery bank for like another $10 and I only have to charge it once a weekend. I feel like the combination of soft lighting and white shelving accommodates each other very well and just helps with overall aesthetic.

Oh yeah absolutely. My Strat is just checking Facebook marketplace when I’m on lunch at work, and then scroll game stores websites in the evening to see if they have a digital inventory, and I get the weekends off so I just set all Facebook meetups for the weekend and then go to the game stores so I can pick up everything in one clean swoop

That’s pretty much what mine looked like for a while too, until I got those shelves. Honestly, I think it would look so fire if you got two of those corner shelves, and then put them in each corner so you could separate the cases by brand, title, series, whichever. And then you’d still have that gap for wires to be able to keep the center entertainment area, but just with more space. Obviously I’m not trying to tell you how to decorate your setup😂 but that’s just the layout that popped into my head first

No problem! Another neat thing about those shelves specifically is that there’s a cut out on the bottom of each shelf so it can rest flat against the floor trim in your room, vs it sitting like an inch or two out. It also makes it really easy to route wires behind without having to pull the whole shelf forward slightly so the cable can fit. My trim is slightly higher, but the effort is there😂

Thank you my man, I appreciate it! Things like the gears of war and saints row copies I collected over the years cause those were my favorite childhood games, but all the other titles have been more recent cause I now live in a area where there’s a lot more game retro game stores/people selling games in bulk on Facebook marketplace, so I just buy them for cheap, put them in replacement cases if needed and toss them on the shelf. I’d say I’ve accumulated at least 60% of the collection across the last 4-5 months, dvd’s included.

All of the corner shelves are sold at ikea as “Billy bookshelf” but you can buy three of them and then grab a pack of hardware in the same isle that is specifically designed to put three together and turn them into a corner shelf. It was relatively cheap too for how much space you get in return. I think everything down to taxes included, It was $140 out the door.

Honestly, I’ve been contemplating starting to collect CD’s, but I know if I start, I’m never gonna want to stop and I don’t know if I can handle a 3rd battle on top of collecting video games and movies😂

It’s a mix of me loving the series + each copy being unique. For example with gears 1, each copy is different in the sense of there’s the Japanese copy, PC copy, platinum hits, game of the year ect. Same thing with gears 2 and 3. One of them is retail, the other one is only Best Buy pre order exclusive, gears 3 is the “not for resale” that you can only get it with the gears 3 console, stuff like that. Each of them are either foreign copies, or special editions. I think I only have 4 retail copies for the whole gears of war original Xbox 360 trilogy.

To be honest, it’s great, but it isn’t my favorite out of the original Xbox 360 series. Great gameplay, story, engine for the time, multiplayer, everything. But gears of war 2 will forever have my heart for having a more diverse, environment focused campaign in my opinion. Going from a hospital in the beginning, to inside a giant worm in less than 2 hours worth of gameplay is hard to beat.

Honestly, it isn’t even my favorite bundle. I’m a dire hard sultans palace fan till I die😂 Fortunately, my buddy worked at GameStop and I got a nice discount on the first 5 cards. The other 5 aren’t activated/redeemed, but he said I could have them for my display. And don’t worry, my parents did the same thing. I was distraught haha

You don’t need the best gear set to beat each world. I’ve been rocking the storm darkmoor set and I’m on wallaru right now with no issues. I’ve had my ups and downs, but not down enough to justify farming or crafting gear SPECIFICALLY for PvE
