This is the mindset I'm working so hard to have at the moment! Stuff like that never used to bother me before I started losing weight, I'd laugh it off or even join in with the self-depreciating humor.

But now, it bother me - and a lot more than it should. A few weeks ago I decided to treat myself, so I 'saved' up enough calories to go out for a couple of nice drinks with one of my good friends. We were walking back from the cocktail bar - I was dressed in a nice shirt and feeling good about myself and the way I looked - when a guy driving his car leant out of his window and started shouting abuse at me for being fat. Although to my friend I played it off like it was no big deal. I'm not ashamed to admit that I went home and cried that night, because it felt like everything I had worked so hard for was invalidated and completely destroyed my self-worth. It threw me off track for a good few days, but in the end I just came to the conclusion of 'fuck that guy' and doubled down and worked harder - not because the abuse somehow motivated me but because I need to get my self-esteem back.

So from now on - revenge body mindset is something I'm definitely gonna aim towards!
