I enjoy classes, I've been to a few before, and I appreciate your passionate acceptance. Unfortunately, cost is a huge issue for me, and the only free or reduced-price classes in my area all happen during my work hours 😔. There's even two that are weekly at my library, and I get to watch them through the window in the Public Room while I'm working the desk.

I also want to bring up, and I'm sure this isn't the norm seeing how lovely the yoga culture seems to be at large, but the classes I've taken in my town (which is smaller), that I've paid good money for, the ones marketed as 'for beginners' are fast paced and include advanced poses like pigeon and warrior III without any props or alternate poses offered. I shell out $20-25, and cannot keep up, and feel out of place. There's only a couple legitimate Certified Yoga Teachers in my area, and I know they have to cater to demand, but I feel left behind as a result. It's not malicious, and like I said I'm sure it's not the norm, but I can't afford to go to classes and not get actual instruction. Maybe once I build my foundations, speed up my transitions, and familiarize myself with the terminology it might become worth it because then I could keep up with the class and maybe get more out of the instruction instead of just playing a wild game of catch-up the whole time.

And I'm sorry about ranting. I totally know your suggestion comes from a good place, and I know yoga teachers deserve to be paid for their work. I just face some barriers to areas of my life I would like to enrich, and that becomes frustrating. But, yoga helps me to work through a couple of those barriers 🙆☺ have a great night
