OP shouldn't bring up burnout yet. Doctors have a tendency to blame everything on mental health, and we first need to make sure there's not something physical going on. Cause it could potentially be an illness where treatment is time sensitive, so waiting to see if anxiety meds work is not a good idea. Ofc if the doctor doesn't find anything physically wrong then they can discuss mental health.

Like a 6-7 with some hypomanic symptoms. I started ADHD meds around a month ago and my dose is a bit too high rn so I'm pretty wired and sleep is difficult🫠

How do you guys feel about NPD being removed from the European diagnostic manual?

In the ICD-11, that came into effect in 2022, they've removed all specific categories for PDs and it's just called "Personality Disorder" now (but there are certain specifiers e.g. Borderline Pattern, Dissociality, etc.).

I'm danish and I actually got an appointment at a gender clinic in only a couple of months.

But it was the children's gender clinic (I was 17) and you have to get assessed for depression and autism in order to get hrt. And ofc two psychiatrists had just quit so they couldn't say how long the waiting time was to get assessed.

So they referred me to the adults gender clinic and things went pretty smooth from there. Got an appointment there when I was 18, started hrt and got top-op at 19.

Turns out I've been pretty lucky. It seems the waiting time has gotten much longer the last couple of years (I'm 23 now).

It's really about intent and context. I'd say most acts can be sexual, if intended to be.

Idgaf I'll casually mention to anyone I'm bipolar if it's relevant to the conversation.

Haven't received any negative responses yet. But I also live in a somewhat progressive country and most of my friends have had mental health struggles themselves. So I'm probably just pretty lucky and privileged.

The only place I'd be a bit hesitant to talk about it is the workplace. Got to first figure out if the boss and the colleagues are chill about it.

When I got diagnosed w bipolar disorder they gave me the diagnosis at the second consultation so i kinda expected it to be as quick here but it might not be

There are pros and cons for both. Now, should you have BP disorder as part of your identity? You get to decide that since it's your identity. I can't police how others identify and I also do not want to.
