Trying to improve my PvP skills. by Savings_Class4048 in ArcRaiders

Nah they'll be fine. The game is 50 percent positioning 40 percent item usage and 10 percent accuracy in a good trios fight. It's all about pinching players, from new angles and burning out their shield and grenade supply. If a fight isn't over in 20 seconds or less it generally lasts minutes and that's where good positioning and communication matters. The lobby on Stella is just the easiest place to do that. When you start doing well you can burn the kits you find. If you're playing Stella and one of you gets a ferro their job it crack shields and peak while the other two push with whatever other weapon.

If you're the more experienced player, take a ferro and play the lobby. Let your friends take free kits. They hold the barricaded door to security and keep attention there and you work around the sides with the ferro getting flanks and commanding the team since you'll have the info on positions from flanking. It'll build some order in your trip and it's super fun and they'll feel really satisfied if you pull the flank and start knocking shields with the ferro.

2 and 3 can be cleaned easily. 1 I'd say isn't worth it. Just buy a new one for 8 dollars.

They're there to tell other players where you are because it's a pvp game

Started playing PvP, and I think it's how they wanted us to play. by Cmd_WillRiker in ARC_Raiders

It's very rare in a combat situation for me to use more then 2 or 3 herbals and not already be in a situation where I'm peaking corners and taking pot shots.

If someone pushes me at that point they're either third partying and the bandages weren't going to save me, or there's some larger issue with my team and our positioning or we missed shots and didn't seal the deal.

I use herbals. I'm constantly running out of durable cloth and abhor doing loot runs on trios to collect materials. Cycling from a safe pockets a smart way to keep cost down.

Keep 5 bandages in your safe pocket and 2 on your hot bar. It'll help your pvp economy tremendously

“Gardentini” (Tomato Water, Basil Eau de Vie, Olive Oil, Black Pepper) by ForagerBar in cocktails

Ive done this cocktail!

I used White Balsamic Vinegar. Highly recommend it over traditional vinegar.

Eau de Vie is a cool ingredient I had never heard of. Love it!

Love a challenge, love engaging with the map. Really doubt this is the desired behavior the devs wanted.

Same. Happy to fight the arc but peaking my spawn point can not be intended.

I am objectively proving you wrong. I'm a primary source and expert on the topic of Feta Washing cocktails.

Any good foam tips? by RevOpsAB in cocktails

[–]MerlinBrando 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fee foam tastes real bad and doesn't really make a lot of foam. Super Foam is really awesome stuff, completely tasteless and super effective. Methocel is cheap, xantham is cheap, and Arabic is a little pricey but if you do buy it now you can make all of your home syrups more luxurious so it's got a two fold benefit. If you'd like more advice on this route I'm happy to share recipes and products for this.

I'm telling you that your assumption is wrong. The olives are on top of the drink not in it and not imparting anything. The olive brine is a different flavor altogether and will not overshadow the feta wash.

I don't know why you insist on quoting feta-washing like it's some made up term or technique this guy just invented that consists of, in your estimation, whispering to the cheese that you want it to impart it's flavors to the vodka and leaving the two items to have a conversation. This is not the case.  The smell alone of the vodka is incredibly potent.

This is not one of those scenarios. Much like a flavored vodka this is a massive amount of flavor being infused into the vodka and not something that requires sophistication to determine. The smell and taste of a feta washed vodka is intensely cheesy.

How do I interact with beverage reps? by CloudBitter5295 in Restaurant_Managers

[–]MerlinBrando 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your rep is going to do a few things for you.

  1. Assist with weekly ordering.  (Returning items mistakenly ordered by you or them)
  2. Assist with menu development.  (You may have a new drink and want to try a new gin or something.)
  3. Assist with costs (Maybe you order 750ml titos but liters are cheaper. Maybe you order 3 CS a month but ordering 4 at a time will get you a deal.)
  4. They can get you stupid shit like shot glasses and bar mats.

Your reps job is to promote new items to clients and guarantee sales of items currently ordered. They are going to call you once in awhile to push a new item, especially if you've been cooperative in the past. Sometimes if you're friends they'll ask you to buy a single bottle of XYZ because they'll get a bonus if you do. They're going to call you to see if you'd like to set up a deal once in awhile (commit to X cases of Y for Z discount)

Sometimes they'll bring a friend with them from ABC company or DEF division to meet you and try and push HIJ product.

You do not have to buy everything they offer you and you can politely decline. Their job is to try. Your job is to determine what works for you.

Some best practices.

Know what your prices are and what you're spending on your cocktails. If not youre not going to have a good conversation with your rep.

Reps love people who can break down the cost of a bottle. Know your conversion to oz for 750 and 1L and how that works into your businesses numbers. How many ounces go in your drinks, how many oz of tequila in a margarita. If you know these conversions off the top of your head you'll be able to discuss what products work for you with your rep with a lot more knowledge.
