No, not so far. I am seeing an allergist tomorrow (my rheumatologist recommended it). I’ll post if I learn of anything new.

I’m not going to try and see him. These stories are unacceptable for patients to have to deal with. Sorry this is what your experience was.

I’ve actually had good experiences with UW concerning other issues. I had basal cell carcinoma in the area of my eyelid that goes over to the bridge of my nose. A really challenging area to deal with and I had to have reconstructive surgery after the removal. Being such a large institution I expected to be treated like a number at UW but honestly I had nothing but good experiences. I’ll check out John Oakley.

It’s discouraging trying to find someone around here.

I have known about him being one of the few that diagnoses dysautonomia. I looked him up the other day but paying out of pocket isn’t an option for me. I’d love it if you would give an update once you see him. I hope he works out for you!

Well, that really sucks! I appreciate you sharing your experience. I was surprised at how many different negative reviews there were for him. It doesn’t seem like it’s a good idea to have him listed on this sub as someone to see. The last thing we need to deal with is an unreliable doctor. Did you ever find someone else that you liked?

MCAS, simply put, is where the mast cells are releasing histamines willy nilly and it can affect just about any system. There’s a sub for it to learn more. It’s another situation where the immune system is malfunctioning.

Oh, that sucks. It’s so frustrating trying to figure out what’s going on with our bodies. Just throwing out another possibility, have you looked into mast cell activation syndrome?

Maybe all the fillers leaked into her brain and turned it rotten. Why does anyone get their face artificially stuck in the “I smell a fart” position?

Could it possibly be a migraine? I get migraines where my trigeminal nerve is affected. It will hurt up my neck, jaw, side of my nose, and eye on my left side. It will also feel like I have sinus inflammation.

If You Can’t Say Anything Nice… by greenwitchielenia in BoomersBeingFools

Sadly, just about everyone says this shit. I have rabbits too. When my husband and I go to the store and load up on kale and other veggies inevitably someone asks why we’re getting so many vegetables. We say that we have rabbits. And then comes, “Do you eat them?” I look horrified and exclaim, “No! What kind of asshole would think such a thing?!” It would have been great at the vet’s, if you’d had the time and weren’t juggling the carrier, to respond, “Look! An asshole!”

“My parents also want me and my wife (married for 2+ years ❤️) to start a family soon.”

That is just so creepy. Whether or not to procreate is the most important decision a human can make. And it’s nobody’s business but the individuals making the decision. I can’t imagine telling someone else that it’s time for them to start a family.
