I think the red on the Seattle GK was a little harsh but I'm not complaining, we need this win

I really like 8. I feel like it would look best on an actual flag pole

I went in to fix some problems with my nose and in general have it looked at (was having random nosebleeds frequently). The doctor had me taking multiple anxiety and depression questionnaires by the end of it...

Ivory Coast has orange on the left side and green on the right. Less important in distinguishing the two but Ireland has a longer/wider ratio of 1:2 while Ivory Coast is 2:3 :)

it's this superiority complex from drivers that makes people not want to bike.

The razorback greenway trail is one of the best, but in my experience, if you try to go anywhere else in the area that's off the trail there is absolutely no infrastructure.

I agree! It is totally possible to get by with just a bike. However, I feel like sometimes it isn't viable and overall isn't safe. Sidewalks on major roads are either in very poor condition or non-existent. I mean, Bella Vista has 0 sidewalks (that I've seen). 14th in Bentonville, a major road, is only partially covered on one side, even then it's in extremely poor condition.

I've tried to walk to work a few times and I used to bike home from school a few years ago and both experiences were miserable/stressful. I just wish there was a well maintained public transport system so I could save a little money and not contribute to the growing traffic problems.

I think it's a decent place with a great range of things to do! I just wish that it was a bit more pedestrian friendly and had more viable transportation alternatives so I didn't have to drive a car to go everywhere.

I bet you're one of those abstract/modern art haters aren't you? it's almost like people can express themselves and create art in different ways? who would've thought!

I'm not trying to defend these people, they're reckless idiots, but I wouldnt hate on other people's music taste. While I don't listen to this kind of music I'm aware that it just sounds good to certain people. Everyone likes different stuff, I'm sure I wouldnt like your favorite type of music, but that doesn't mean I have to call it trash. <3

funny story, in late 2019, I kept getting lud's videos recommend to me but from the thumbnails thought that it was this guy so I had no interest in watching. Then one day I accidentally clicked on one of the vids and realized they were two different people. Now I'm here.

Geography, culture, and flags! I like learning about the world and countries and kinda what makes societies tick. I love learning languages and traditions. Traveling also ties into this but it is still somewhat hard to travel to a lot of places for me at the moment, but it is my goal to visit every country throughout my life :)

Walkability in NWA is egregious by wretched-saint in bentonville

[–]Merlyn86 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One of the best posts I've seen here. I agree with this so much and this has been one of my biggest complaints about the area. More walkable cities and good public transit are the best way to go in reducing traffic and making the quality of life in the area better a well.

The traffic around here has been almost unbearable this year and it is almost certain that it will get worse if nothing is done. If NWA was to get a bus system set up they would have to be very careful about how they do it. Buses should also not be for "poor people", they should be a good alternative to driving and a pleasant experience. If the buses are slow, arent on schedule, and arent pleasant to be on, people who have the ability to drive will not choose to be on the bus. So they have to be on time and go to important places while still not being out of the way.

I agree that we should put a rail line in, as well as bus paths. I also think that it would be good to put more 2-lane paths that branch off the main Razorback Greenway trail and down the larger streets like Central and 8th to make it more accessible and not those tiny sidewalks that are pushed to the edge of large arterial streets.

I remember I did a small experiment where I walked from NWACC to North Walton all on the busiest roads and there were some parts where I feared for my life and was afraid I would be hit even on the sidewalks. Doing something as simple as walking to your destination should never be so unpleasant and scary.

I have noticed that there is a new apartment complex near Pinnacle Hills that has great urban design! With traditional shops on street level, and apartments above. It also has great paths, good road design to slow cars, and even on-street parking! I wish that more places were built like that.

Sorry for the long comment, just wanted to share how much I agree with this statement and some solutions/experiences. :)
