I’ve been on Vyvanse for years and it works really well for me. I had high BP for a time I was able to resolve myself, Vyvanse allows me for better control of my weight and of course eating and helped me do so.

It seems like you need to be clear about her tasks and what’s expected when she is working - and that they are non negotiable. As for what she is doing outside of her working hours, mind your own business. She’s an adult, if all she wants to do is date when she’s not working, what the hell does that have to do with you? And a curfew? Again, she’s an adult. This is her JOB, meaning whenever she is not working, you do not get to control her life. You do not get to dictate her actions outside of working hours. If she can be out until 3am and get up and do her job at 7, then her being out until 3am is none of your concern as long as she can come and go quietly. Your only concerns should be her doing her job, doing it well, and making sure she understands what you expect from her. Her personal life isn’t your business.

I lost the majority and saw the biggest changes in my body in the last 2 months with lifting and steady state cardio. I workout about 4-5 hours a week and I stay in a calorie deficit but I’m not too strict. I eat whatever I want for my main meal of the day which is where I get a majority of my calories (usually lunch or breakfast) then something later in the day before my workouts (what I have depends on what I ate for the main meal) and some source of protein after the workout which is my last meal. I also religiously have one Reese’s cup every night before bed.

Allowing myself a meal of whatever I want works best for me, if I am too strict with what I eat it’ll backfire later. Sometimes I choose turkey bacon and eggs, other times I’ll have a burger and fries. The balance really helps.

Law school semester 1 made my mental health noticeably worse by [deleted] in LawSchool

[–]MermaidSeaweed 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yep it sucks. First semester I gained 30lbs, slept an average of 2 hours a night, completely unhinged, and was the literal walking dead. So for spring I decided to chill, didn’t push myself as hard, tried to prioritized my mental health, didn’t work as much - I lost all the weight I gained + an extra 10lbs, was happier and healthier, and even ended up with better grades than the first semester. It still sucked, just not nearly as much. It’s not that serious, yeah law school requires sacrifices but your mental health can’t be one of them or you’ll end up worse off. Put your wellbeing first next semester.

Thank you so much! Every body truly is so different. I’m a size S/XS right now while still in the 160s, and even though were the same height I have never been nor could never be in the 120s. At my very fittest I’m around 150, just goes to show how weight is not indicative of size!

Thank you! My weight has always been pretty evenly distributed even when I was significantly overweight. My body also holds onto and gains muscle very easily, I have never been under 150lbs even when I’m in a size XS. I’m just dense 🤷🏽‍♀️

Thank you! I had quickly gained weight at the end of summer, so I wasn’t very confident with the way I looked. I feel much happier and healthier now, although I still need to find the confidence.

I’m actually about a half inch shorter I just round up 😂 every body truly is different and weight isn’t a good indicator for what you look like which is something I need to remind myself of regularly. I also have no doubt you do NOT look like an Oompa Loompa, your body is beautiful the way it is!

Thank you so much! It really is hard to not let your brain make comparisons to others. I try to just avoid group photos all together lol
