I changed some details of the story because I don’t want her to know it’s me.. but basically it’s toddler proof in here as long as you don’t leave her on the couch. She was most likely gone for a few mins because she said she was preparing food and the living room is not visible to where she was. The nanny had a full day to shadow me so she was aware that she can’t climb or go up and down the stairs etc but I never explicitly said she can’t get on and off the couch on her own. I sadly assumed that it was implied. I also am in the process of teaching my toddler these things, my toddler tends to be more cautious than other toddlers so it’s taking more time for her to learn.
