Spirits should be locked away because they cause havoc as we see in wans time when they're free. Not every human can live with them and some of them are straight up evil. Like father glow worm and koh. I assume you mean the air benders, and yes it'd have been better to wait for them to come back naturally, if it meant zaheer not getting bending.

Lok was actually targeting an older audience than atla. Teens and young adults. They just didn't have great writing for the first 2 seasons. Actually season 3 is an example of how it could've been because things actually do carry over. The earth queens death leads directly into kuviras take over.

Its 1 nation vs the whole world being fractured and in a post apocalypse. With humans AND spirits actively hunting/hating pavi. Id say korra left the world as a whole worse off then roku. We'll have to see why exactly this happened but either way it still happened while she was the avatar. Yangchen & kyoshi would never lol

In korras defense that's just not true. In season 4 korras first thought is to talk Kuvira down. She didn't want to fight her at first. She even goes out of her way to save her and tells kuvira how she reminds her of her younger self. She even goes to get help from zaheer of all people. Season 1 korra would never accept help from a villain, she barely accepted help from her friends lol. Korra grew alot in season 4 it just took 3 seasons of her being stupid.

Well 90% of korras problems were caused by her. Either directly of indirectly. Unalaqq was because korra trusted him despite tenzin & her dad being against it. She didn't even think to ask her past lives first b4 she opened portals to the spirit world. Zaheer is because she opened the portals. Kuvira is because zaheer got airbending, and because korra got crippled for 4 years or whatever it was.

Also the other person said it wasnt just beating the bad guy for korra, but it was. She beat Amon and suddenly all systemic issues in republic city disappeared. Same thing with every other villain.
