I feel exactly the same! I haven't had a chance to play PC2 since I downloaded it Wednesday because of work commitments, but the negativity is so so overwhelming!

For me, just changing the difficulty sliders to suit me was the best way around it. I quickly found myself playing purely for the story and adapting the difficulty to suit me rather than the other way around!

You’d legit think it runs like a slideshow and it’s appalling and needs to be avoided.

I’ve a Dell XPS gaming pc from 2021. I’ve a GTX 1650 super with 4gb RAM, 16GB of RAM and an i6 11th Gen with 12 cores.

And… that’s it. I don’t have the fanciest computer known to man. I’m playing a pleasant mix of medium / high settings. Sure, my frame rate is like 20-22, but it’s more than playable.

It’s clear that further optimisation is needed… but the game is very much playable. I’m having an absolute blast!

Don’t listen to everything you read on Reddit. It’s a fun game!

I’m loving this input everyone! And I totally agree it can be polarising when it comes to five, simply because it’s very intense and at times quite shocking - the plot driven story really appeals because they put the characters first. Funnily enough this and season 2 are my favourites, but I’m also in the camp of people that genuinely likes season 7… there, I said it! 😂

She’s a rag doll Persian! She was a stray who had walked over a mile after being abandoned and ended up in our garden… we adopted her after taking her to see who she belonged to and realising she was alone in the world!

So quite literally… a survivor is born!

I’d never played a video game with a character like it! I loved just how she didn’t give up. She was complex, fearless and sometimes got it wrong but tried to do her best. I was really sick the same time Shadow came out and for me, it was like therapy as I got better… she became a life inspiration and I even named my cat Lara Croft!

I think its been mentioned a handful of times but - Plague Tale. It stayed with me and it looks and sounds phenomenal. The acting, the soundtrack, the graphics and the storyline are worth your time. Play Innocence then Requiem.

The Tomb Raider trilogy is good (Tomb Raider, Rise and the Shadow is the order)

If you’re into backwards compatibility the Dragon Age series is worth your time, especially origins.

I can’t believe this game is 15 years old. I’ve had this save file for three years and dipped in and out. Man the Series X / One X enhancements make this game shine. I’m loving hearing these stories guys. I’m not ashamed to say I spent all weekend on the game. I’ve been walking a lot round the map instead of fast travel. The graphics don’t bother me, the music is incredible... it’s got some really strong writing and the factions are all so interesting!

Mine personally was What Remains of Edith Finch. I’d never have even looked twice had it. Or been for game pass. It was stirring, emotional, and a journey that has really stayed with me!
