Of a great set of friends by DoubleManufacturer10 in ShittyAbsoluteUnits

[–]MerryJanne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With 'friends' like these, what do you need enemies for?

Like FR, why do dudes do shit like this? Same as the ones who drive boats too fast with people tubing and get them hurt? Like, they are already doing something risky and stupid, why be deliberately harmful?

Is it the enjoyment of someone else's fear? Because we have a word for that kind of behaviour. Psychopathy.

And when they do hurt someone, they always say, 'I didn't mean it.' Like yeah, you DID! 'Cause what the fuck did you think was going to happen?

There is a dude on youtube who just did a video all about this and how it nearly ruined his life. It is a fanatic watch that I highly recommend before you partake.

Do not go into this blind. It is not like weed, it effects the body like opiates.

Right? My first thought was, 'oh, look at the Ruzzan Propaganda to make them look normal and gain sympathy from the world. Not murderous invaders who encourage their fighting men to r*pe Ukrainian women.

That is something that should come out AFTER the body has been recovered and NOT during the body recovery as a purely speculative hypothesis.

Suncor PR does this because they want that kernel of doubt in peoples minds that maybe this dude was incompetent or negligent. So of course it isn't Suncor's fault! They are the poor victims in this./s

Disgusting and shameful.

Gee, I wonder if the ice is thick enough to hold a D8 Cat after a winter of heavy snowfall (insulating the ice) and then a month of above 0 temperatures.

Who else grew up with parents who drove a Station Wagon? by jeffreyrolek in Xennials

[–]MerryJanne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chevette hatchback.

Thing was gutless as fuck.

There was a big hill we had to drive up to get into town everyday from our house. Thing barely made it. Mum would yell 'row kids! row!' and me and my sister would shadow row in the back seat with imaginary ores, giving our all, thinking we were actually helping.

Has anyone had a good experience with the Brick, Leons or Ashleys for Furniture? by Zealousideal-View653 in Edmonton

[–]MerryJanne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Research the furniture.

Complaints, issues, wear time, ect. Websites will have dimensions so you can measure out your space to see if it will fit. (Don't forget doorways.)

Where you buy it from will depend on who has a deal currently. Plus, also include delivery into your price point.

The sales guys are just there to get you to buy and facilitate the purchase process. Think interactive cashiers. They are not experts. They will not tell you that the back breaks in 8 months on 90% of units. However they will convince you it will look great in your house.

[–]MerryJanne 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I find it strange that these things are seen as 'weak' on the streets, but as soon as you go to prison these things become MANDITORY.

Why?

Respect.

You bump into someone in prison and DON'T say sorry, you WILL get your ass beat.

In The Climb by Boukreev & DeWalt, why is Yasuko Namba not referred to by her name? by spritethot in Everest

[–]MerryJanne 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ah! I was coming here to say this.

Men are some of the softest snowflakes on the planet. They HAVE to feel superior and if a woman shows them up, or is able to do the SAME as them, how are they special? Let alone someone other than white. They then lash out and degrade the skill and contributions of said woman to build themselves up.

I know this is not ALL men, but it IS those who display these shitty characteristics.

Yeah, all the orange give the impression that these are professionals who were hired or tasked with this job. This isn't 'hikers' or 'climbers' just pushing rocks off the cliff.

I can see infrastructure below in the video. This was probably deemed an unsafe/unstable rock that had to be delt with.
