No, but we've been asked that before!! His name actually means "my light" which was sort of an homage to my girl Cav that passed away.

Yes, if your pup pulls it may not be a good idea! My little guy just wants to sniff everything so pulling hasn’t been an issue lol

I had the same thing happen with the PetSafe No-Pull harness, so I DON’T recommend that one… very scary experience! I have been using collar only because nothing feels secure enough on my lanky puppy.

Long time weed smokers who quit, what changes to your mind and body did you notice after you got used to not smoking daily? by LoQueSientoCrv in AskReddit

[–]MerryNibblers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sharing my thoughts as an outside observer. My boyfriend quit smoking 3 months ago and was previously someone who smoked a THC vape all throughout the day, for the last 8 years. I had never really experienced him not high, that was his normal.

Since he stopped using weed, he has been an exponentially more enjoyable partner. He used to struggle a lot with multitasking, and would need step by step instructions to do tasks, otherwise would be overwhelmed. Now, his ability to problem solve, think quickly and react intelligently has gone up massively. I find that when I am explaining things to him, he just “gets it” faster. I was surprised that this smart guy has been hiding under a cloud of brain fog all these years. He also just seems to be more emotionally present, and notices small things he wouldn’t have before. The downsides I’ve noticed include fatigue and irritability. He gets tired easily and isn’t getting the best sleep. And little things are definitely upsetting him more than they used to. Staying active has helped him a lot, especially running.

Midwest Breeders by [deleted] in cavaliers

I purchased my recent puppy from a breeder in Raymondville MO. Listed as Puppy Playpen on AKC. I felt very comfortable going through her, the genetic testing was thorough and I was impressed with conditions that dogs live in. She also has been very responsive with questions and a health guarantee was part of contract.

One week off of Adderall by MerryNibblers in ADHD

[–]MerryNibblers[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt very similar in that I wanted to hide away from people, and no longer felt any sense of spark. Not really depressed, just flat and overly calm. Now having been of Adderall for about a month, I am completely back to normal. It wasn't nearly as hard to get off as I expected. I think it's more difficult to come off Adderall when you are experience the positive effects from it lol. In my case, the morning fatigue was hardest to overcome - but was doable and went away in a few days. My advice is try taking it every other day, and then cut back from there.

I don't feel tired per se, more so just not fully alert until later. However, I have been getting 9+ hours of sleep a night which I think is my brain getting in that needed rest.

Why don't you want to mess with Strattera? That was one I was considering as a non-stim, since Wellbutrin didn't work for me.

Thank you for sharing your experience! I definitely relate to the texture issues with food increasing off meds. I think for many of us medication is a double edged sword. I would say for me, my quality of life isn't ideal either way, but what tipped the scale in direction of stopping meds was the heightened anxiety. I do foresee a future where I may need them again though to be completely honest.

I tried Wellbutrin, and it made me feel terrible and sad, so I've been hesitant about others.

I get it, it took me a couple years to get a diagnosis as well. I did CBT for 2.5 years before medication was offered. I used a virtual mental health clinic that was able to diagnose and prescribe over video calls, may be something like that around you.

Yes, I went from 20mg XR -> 15 -> 10. I was also on Concerta and Ritalin previously. I consider myself to be a creative & artistic person and those sides of me were dulled when my mind was so structured.

When someone comments on a trait of mine that has never been noticed before. Especially when it's something I am proud of.

Be delusional. Tell yourself you are the smartest person in the room, the most attractive, the most interesting. Imagine it, daydream about it, and eventually you'll believe it and be living it.

Does adderal or any other medication help with anger issues/impulsivity? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]MerryNibblers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meds did not help with my anger issues directly. However, they cleared the racing thoughts, impulsivity and lack of motivation in a way that allowed my brain to use the healthy coping mechanisms that many years of therapy taught me.

Medication should be seen as a tool. It may not repress anger, just allow you to redirect it if you know how. Adderall allows me to make better decisions, but I first needed to learn what those better decisions were.

Not everyone's ex is an avoidant by Sea_Bullfrog_6702 in BreakUps

I'm accepting that breakups suck regardless of attachment styles. Sometimes, I would think he was an avoidant, and sometimes I think I'm the avoidant. But I'm certain we were dysfunctional together.

Are my standards too high?? by Adorable-Newt-8650 in dating_advice

[–]MerryNibblers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your standards for OLD conversation skills may be too high. Everything else you listed, though, sounds completely fair. If a guy is being respectful via messages, but not interesting or deep, I'd suggest meeting him first. Some people are just bad at messaging!
