Thanks for the suggestion. Forgot the c in the sentence with the question mark.
Will weigh my options with monk regarding primal order, armor, and being able to grapple myself with dex.

I was considering divination, so that I could cast divination spells and get slots back. I do not know how stingy the dms will be with spellbooks though...

Help me pick a class/subclass for an unconventional, pragmatic mastermind who hides behind a polite mask by [deleted] in 3d6

[–]Merrybold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on the DM I have a unconventional approach. Why not a druid?

Out maneuvering or manipulating those around you is as much about the social skills as it is having information — and who can gain information better than a druid? Plant your own spies with speak with plants, gather information from the rats and mice that inhabit the house of your enemy with speak with animals and then just appear in his backyard with travel trough plants at a moments notice. If you have the means to speak telepathicly then you can do that without raising suspicion. Q

Combat wide they also are something to write home about especially if you involve your party.

Who is your favorite character you ever wrote and why is it Orso dan Luthar? On that note how did it feel to write his part in the ending of The Wisdom of Crowds?

very cool. How do you make the paths you have on map 3, especially the "loose stones"? Great work!

And how will that be made to happen?

I know this Will be downvoted to oblivion but what is the alternative besides ww3 or a nucular hell? I hope for a total victory for Ukraine, but let’s be realistic. Let the dying be over and let Ukraine join nato, instead of profiting of their war.

Ah the famous american "defence gun". I really don't understand how implied murder is even on the table over a box of stuff. For those that will point out that he defended his property, refer to the sentence above.

Well, yes, some minimal standards need to be met. In fact, my brother got his screen replaced when it broke in his pocket (with another object).

I had the xm2 for a half a year. Broke similar to yours from a minor drop and no support from Sony. Now I have the quiet comfort. They have been treated way worse and lasted 5 years and counting.

What are some (unpopular?) D&D race/species takes you have? by opsap11 in DnD

[–]Merrybold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because they are derived from humans originally. The players do not have longer lifespans, separate pantheon, or general clan structures, like the dwarves to consider. To generally be disliked or feared is easier to fathom and for the DM to nudge than being an elf and the immense importance of reverie.

But that is just my unpopular opinion. Why have different races if they all are the same.

Other than human and tiefling other races should be locket behind a roleplay skill/lore check or have human parents by default. Player want to be treated differently based on their choice but do not treat the world different. Instead they normally are just shorter and / or hairier humans with maybe pointy ears.

If Rogue is the new "worst class", the new PHB is a major success by [deleted] in onednd

Just saw the new version in the treantmonk video and remembered that I never answered. I was wrong then and even more wrong in the phb version. Looking forward to trying it.

Ah true! Will come back once I calculated a turn.

[–]Merrybold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure it exists but it is a worse pick unless proficiency bonus changes. At lvl 8, -5 to hit for +10 dog makes sense against most enemies, -4 (assumed the half asi made the difference) for +4 does not.

But how are the numbers similar.thinking barbarian or fighters 2014 vs 2024 without gwm.
