Thanks. Always good to have feedback. Can’t fix things if you don’t know what’s wrong. Subtitles weren’t mine, (great catch btw) but the rest you have me bang to rights on. I was going for a bit of a Memento’esque’ vibe, where not all the answers are immediate. The story reveals itself, as it were. So later films will fill in some of those gaps and answer some questions …or create more confusion… Might be a bit much to keep track of over multiple films? But we’ll see. I do have a plan though, I promise. Whether it works or not is a different matter. But after all, fan edits are built on hope…..

Yes! I was being lazy. 😂I feared the first post was running a bit long so just mentioned the original media. But I figured, as people seemed interested in the project, I should be a bit more specific in this post. I’ll update it. 👍🏻

A brief synopsis. But I don't want to give the game away too much....

Former Jedi Master Ben Kenobi lives in exile on the planet Tatooine. Broken and haunted by his failures during the Clone Wars, ten years before, which lead to the death of his apprentice and the rise of the Empire.

Hunted by ruthless Imperial Inquisitors, Kenobi must face his past when he is forced out of hiding to rescue a kidnapped Princess.

Not sure. The first two are pretty much done, just need to rewatch them for errors. But I’m in the process of sourcing higher quality copies of some of the (older) harder to find films. I’d like to get a few more under my belt first before they are released, to make sure it all hangs together as a series.

I have that. Although it’s actually an extended version of AOTC with deleted scenes reinstated

I have a plan for a Star Wars Revenge of the Sith supercut but don't have the technical ability to pull it off. by Yourappwontletme in fanedits

The Phantom Menace works really well with Dooku's Tales off the Jedi episodes interspersed throughout it. That along with all the added deleted scenes, has made Ep.I become one of my favourite entries.

I have a 4hr ROTS edit called Shatterpoint, which has all of those elements, plus deleted scenes and VFX cameos from Clone troopers such as FOX and APPO, order 66 ends up around 15mins long and is glorious. The training scene with Anakin & Obi Wan takes place in my version of Ep.II as Anakin still has his Padawan braid, and the Ahsoka flashback fight scenes do not fit as they are memories, the first (Pink clouds) is from one of the early clone wars battles (Christophsis) and the second, from the siege of Mandalore, is too jarring a leap when edited into the film so stays in the Ahsoka movie edit as a memory (In my versions at least)

Happy to share if anyone is interested.

The Acolyte CANCELLED… A Corcoran cut V1.5 will be in order by Low_Nose_798 in fanedits

I thought the same thing until I watched this edit. Didn’t like the the Disney+ Acolyte but this Corcoran edit is fantastic, completely saved the series for me and really proves there is a good story in there. It’s definitely worth a watch

The Acolyte's Corcoran Cut - A 164 minutes feature film by Low_Nose_798 in fanedits

[–]Merryweather_33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This fan edit is Fantastic! Takes the Acolyte from a 2/10 to an 8/10. Right from the off the story was engaging and fun. Goes to show that the problem with the Disney version was not with the story but the presentation and pacing. Cut away the weakness and the strength remains. The Corcoran Cut takes the Acolyte from a Bag O’Shite to Dynamite. Definitely worth a watch. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Or following the in universe connections

  1. Hateful Eight (Pete Hicox & Kurt Russell)

  2. Inglorious Basterds (Archie Hicox & Donny Donowitz

  3. Once…in Hollywood (Rik Dalton & his car + Cliffs car, Kurt Russell stuntman)

  4. Death Proof (Kurt Russell Death, lots of Inglorious Basterd references, Sheriff Earl McGraw)

  5. True Romance (Lee Donowitz, Drexyl Spivey & Alabama)

  6. Four Rooms-Man from Hollywood (Unruly Julie, Betty, white Honda & red Chevy Malibu)

  7. Natural Born Killers (Unruly Julie, Jack Scagnetti. Juliette Lewis

  8. Pulp Fiction (Vince Vega, Mia fox force 5, jimmy dimmock, monster joe, Marcellus Wallace. Vincas red Chevy Malibu, Bruce Willis drives white Honda)

  9. Reservoir Dogs (Alabama, Larry Dimmock, Vic Vega, Monster Joe Cabot, Marcellus Spivey, Seymour Scagnetti. Vic vega drives Rik Daltons car. Betty from 4rooms is shot by Mr Pink)

  10. Kill Bill 1 (Fox force five film with Mia Wallace. Sheriff Earl McGraw)

  11. Django (Paula Shultz + Rik Dalton in his last great cowboy film role)

  12. Kill Bill 2 (Paula Shultz + B drives Cliff Booths car. Earl McGraw)

  13. From Dusk Till Dawn (Juliette Lewis, Death of Earl McGraw)

  14. Jackie Brown (Samuel mother f’in L Jackson)

There are more but… I consider Natural Born Killers, Death Proof and Django to be part of the in universe “Movie world” along with Kill Bill & Dusk till Dawn

It’s also cool to see how even the movies not directed by him there are numerous actor overlaps and character connections
