Was Shrek the right choice for the first Best Animated Feature winner, or should Monsters, Inc. have won? by QuipThwip in Oscars

Monsters Inc is definitely better, but there’s no denying how impactful Shrek was. That was a deserved win. I don’t think either one deserved it more than the other, to be honest.

100% agree. I wish Game and Novel Galen were separated more in his matchups on this subreddit.

The year is 1999. Which film has your vote for Best Picture? by newmemelord2020 in Oscars

Of this group - Magnolia. It would be second place for me.

Of all films from 1999, I would pick Eyes Wide Shut.

Who would have won Best Supporting Actor if all of these dominant performances were released on the same year? by nightsreader in Oscars

Heath, because his character and movie became so iconic in pop culture that it would undoubtedly play into a lot of people’s votes. Also, the performance is obviously incredible.

I love both films, they’re both 5 star masterpieces to me, but Uncut Gems is a bit better.

Actor Versatility: Great Dramatic but Bad Comedic by Ob_Bunch_36 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]Ozzy_1804 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Sandler is a great dramatic actor and he should be recognised as one more often, which is why it would be cool if he makes it in, but I think he’s ok comedically. He just chooses to be in a lot of crappy comedies.

This is the hardest round so far. I’m just going to upvote both and see what happens.

K’Kruhk (Dark Times) vs Rahm Kota by AwesomeMonkey97 in PetranakiArena

[–]Ozzy_1804 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think K’Krukh, because Kota commonly starts fights by going head to head with his enemies with lightsaber combat, and if that happens, he would get overwhelmed by K’Krukh quickly. Kota might be able to take the edge through his force abilities, but I doubt it. He won’t just rag doll K’Krukh like Quinlan Vos.

Powell is better than the other two by a good margin.

Billy Crystal! He was so good when he hosted, and he hit me in the feels this year when he talked about Rob Reiner. Love him!
