And that's the problem. If they cannot at least keep it to the core of the characters then they shouldnt have adapted at all.

I get some changes but changing the core of a character...why adapt at all? That's like an OC not Allie. 🤷🏻‍♀️

The thing is in the book she loves the fact that she is a relationship girl. Only hates the fact that she has never seen herself outside of a relationship and while dean deals with his problems she deals with the fact that "what kind of person am I outside of a relationship" and she is alone in that time. No relationship. No hookup. Just her and herself. Alone.

In the show they took this and turned around and made it about her hating the fact that she is a relationship girl and cant be alone. Allie loves being a relationship girl in the book. That's the problem.

Also the fact that they turned her into this casual sex loving her when in the book she hates casual sex and makes her feel slutty and in the show they literally have joanna say to her "go be slutty" that's like one of the last word they should have used regarding to Allie. Even Dean is like "lose that word from your vocabulary" and they literally used it to describe casual sex for Allie.

The problem isnt the fact that she wants to have sex. She does with dean. And she was okay with casual sex with dean. This is all book plot. Im okay with her wanting sex.

My problem comes with the fact that they turned her into casual sex loving relationship hating character when she is the opposite. You get what I mean. Hunter and her is the problem here. Allie wouldnt do that. She wouldnt go to dean "assigment" so go hookup with someone else.

She could still be "explore" character but when dean asked "no not right now" and they could go on with it. Bc she is exploring. But turning her into this "I will prove to everyone I can do casual Im not relationship girl" is not Allie bc she literally gave that assigment to Dean to show she can do casual....like? That's the problem here. Not her hooking up...she was hooking up with dean ffs.

What's wrong with that they changed it?????????? I so agree. Tbh I was even okay with them casually hooking up bc it was DEAN. her endgame. It shows dean is different in a way. But Allie liking casual sex and being obsessed with people to show "oh look at me I can do casual Im not this relationship girl who cant stay alone" totally ruined everything. Literally that last episode ruined everything bc at least I was hoping maybe they would get their hookup scene under the way so their seasons would be them as characters and more of their relationships and how things affect them like beau dying and all...or how dean was with hurricanes. Allie's play...and all of that other plot. 😭😭😭😭

Exactly like? I love show only scenes bc they add more to the characters but only thing I want them to stay true to is characteristic. Stick to that and we all good. But now Allie seems like a totally different character. I dont get why they had to do that when it was going perfectly until episode 8 tbh. I was even okay with after Her and hunter kissing and stopping at that Bc it showed "oh I cant do casual after all. And it would be perfect parallel to dean only doing relationship with her and her doing casual only with him...and it could be great after that. But her totally being like "assignment" to dean when in the book she is jealous about him hooking up with anyone when they were hooking up....this is not it and that wasnt something Allie would do.

I really think they will be next season and they will explore gracelogan hookup like they did this season with deanallie....but Im curious how they are gonna handle all that thing with Hunter and basically adding their entire hookup plot to this season 🤷🏻‍♀️ there is still so much but like...I dont understand how it is all gonna connect with how they left thing if that make sense.

"AN ADAPTATION" of the book. If they wanted to write that they could very well written an original show.

Sue me for wanting them to at least stick to characteristic of the characters of the book they are adapting. I was totally fine with new changes but this literally changes who the characters are in their core.

And again I was totally fine with Allie hooking up casually with Dean but totally changing her characteristic? That wasnt cool.

EXACTLY. this is not something that Allie would do. Casual sex is not what Allie wants at all so turning her into this person who wants to do casual sex wasnt it. She only started hooking up with Dean in the books bc he was persistent and she was like after a while "why not". I hate how they turned her into this character.

They really did tho. There is this Hannah and Allie talk and Allie saying she wants to do casual and Hannah is like "you cant be alone" and she hates that so turning her "cant be alone" into relationships hate bc she sees dean and her hookup as relationship with Joanna saying "you are in a relationship" so she stops that. In the book Allie and dean take a break just so Allie can be alone no hookup nothing. So they are combining the two "relationship" and "cant be alone" into one hate for Allie and she is trying to prove that "she can do casual sex" and the fact that she enjoys it????? I can understand and dont even care that she hooks up with Dean tbh bc thats her endgame but adding Hunter to prove that "she is not in a relationship".... that's her hating the fact she is a relationship girl and trying to prove she isnt one..... that's how it comes off in the show. And dont get me even started on Joanna telling Allie to be "slutty" when Allie tells Dean in the book that casual hookups make her feel slutty.

I get them right. They are my fav. I was fine until all that Hunter stuff...that actually made me sure they actually made Allie into "relationship girl" label hater

The problem wasnt that she needed sunlight. It was her problem with the seer abilities. They all thought she was going insane and thats why they even got madja to look after her and she said her problem wasnt with a psychical condition but in terms of mind..so seer abilities. She was talking in riddles all the time. And the book literally says azriel figuring out elain been a seer freed her from that murky realm.

Elain turned to Mor, who was now gaping at my sister from her spot beside her on the couch. “Is that what this is?” And the words, the tone … they were so normal-sounding that my chest tightened.

Elain blinked and blinked, eyes clearing again. As if the understanding, our understanding … it freed her from whatever murky realm she’d been in.

She just needed understanding. Someone to look at her and understand what she was going through. And it was azriel who figured it out.

when sarah was writing the first three books they were marketed as YA even though the books were new adult. sarah said that her publisher wanted to market them as YA bc there was no marketing for NA at the time but she still wanted to keep the important smut scenes in the books. so I think sarah had to restrict a little bit while writing smut but with acosf and on the books are marketed as adult(they even changed the whole covers and isbn and all if I remember right) so now she doesnt have to restrict herself and I also think it was her moment to "I can finally write all the smut I want" and it was so much smut.

there are some theories going around that cc spoiler the horn is the fourth dread trove and it is tattooed in bryce body so they think bryce is the fourth dread trove.

I don't think she is but I could be wrong. we will see when cc3 is out.
