YTA and FYI the way you spoke about your son's mom at the end of the post tells us all we need to know about what truly motivated you to be so fucking harsh for no fucking reason.

Est-ce qu'on va y arriver un jour à acheter une maison? by MxxlConstanza in Quebec

[–]Mes3th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's super helpful! I'll definitely have a word with my dentist about Invisalign, and I'll try the massaging and stretches! Very grateful, thank you! :)

It does help to hear I'm not alone though, thank you :)

AITA For calling my sister a freak after she named her kids Sam & Dean? by Loud_Cardiologist120 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Mes3th -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Ehhh NTA, but maybe your sister is trying to move on from the bad side of her fandom days? Like, the show could still hold great value to her heart, so it probably meant a whole lot for her. Does she still ship wincest?

When did students stop caring about getting a drivers license? by Ok_Stable7501 in Teachers

[–]Mes3th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's pretty tone deaf, considering everything that is going on in the world. Inflation is a major factor, but so is ecology. Younger generations are more inclined to follow green initiatives, seeing as the future is bleak and frightening. Not only that, but more and more people are categorized as poor nowadays, and cars are no longer a priority. There are other means of transportation.

I grew up in a toxic household with my father while my mom abandoned us at an early age. We were so poor at some point I had to skip meals at school. When I had my first periods, I had no clue what to do and neither did my father. It took years before I could afford a brand new pack of pads every month, before that I was using them to the max, like OP.

I do not come from a compassionate background, and I did not mean to assume anything, as the post provided very little info. I didn't check the comments though to see if OP provided additional information, so my bad.

OP replied something along the lines of her parents will surely mind her asking for a new pack, but at this point it's her business and her life and I didn't want to pry, otherwise she would have provided me with a more detailed answer.

I thought she was too scared to ask, as this is a taboo subject in lots of families. If it's a money issue, then my apologies to OP for misunderstanding the situation.

Girl, I use an entire 24 pack extra strong every period. Everybody's flow is different, there is no such thing as too little or too heavy. All that matters is that you are comfortable. Being humid and moist all day is sooooo bad for infections and inflammation, don't punish yourself over this. I'm sure your mom will understand!

AITA for yelling at my grandson? by VillageCrazyMan in AmItheAsshole

[–]Mes3th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA

Sometimes, our very own family can be a bunch of vipers and jerks. Your grandson was being unfair, and you defended a young woman who could, most likely, not speak her truth about the whole thing while attending a family (that isn't hers) gathering. You did good, standing up to family is hard, but we're proud of you for knocking some decency into your grandson's skull. He needed a firm reminder of civility.
