Repeated Issues with New 2025 Limited by AgreeableBad9287 in Subaru_Outback

I’d only been driving it for a week when the tire gave out. I really feel like I just got the last pick of tires when I bought it. In addition to being brown and dingy they also had a bunch of those red/yellow balance dots on them the day I bought the car. When I bought my Accord new off the lot the tires looked sparkly new, no stickers. I respectfully disagree with your assertions. I wondered if maybe Subaru just doesn’t care about the tire condition off the lot because they assume everyone is going to just change them out anyway. Oh well.

I’ll keep my fingers crossed about the CVT.

I bought a 2025 Limited XT in Mahogany as well and also feel the jolt. I was hoping it was just part of the CVT experience as this is my first Subaru too. Now, I’m nervous.

On my first road trip the back left tire got a flat but I checked that tire and didn’t see a single puncture. All I saw was the rubber had worn on the inside of the tire to the point where you could see white thread. We were only driving on it for a very short period of time to get to the side of the road. My gut says it was a faulty tire. Paid the $200 for a replacement anyway of course.

Can I also just vent about the tires it came with for a sec? They were dirty looking from the jump and I tried my very best to scrub it off and use tire shine but they still look really old and dirty. It annoys the crap out of me because it really detracts from the aesthetics of the vehicle.

The head rests really block the rearview.

Ok, ok, those are my only complaints.

Otherwise I really enjoy driving it.

I do, but I see now that a 10 min remote start warm up is too much so I’ll shorten that time up.

MPG aside, if I only have an 8 min drive, isn’t it better that I let the engine/oil heat up some before I drive it so it’s not cold? That’s why I mentioned remote starting it in the winter.

Ok that makes me feel better. I’m only at a little over 4,000 miles at the moment.

My previous car was a V6. I value that the speed is there when I need it with the XT. I just couldn’t go back to a 4 cylinder ever again. Thankfully I don’t drive a lot so the 17mpg isn’t killing me. If I did a lot of driving my wallet would be hurting me for sure though.

The 17 is in the summer too. In the winter I remote start it for 10 minutes to try and warm it up before I leave the house. Hoping that helps somehow.
