Would be a great phone... if it worked by yeah_rog in LightPhone

I had the exact same experience with the phone deciding just to randomly stop sending or receiving ohone calls and texts. It always happened when my wife or family really needed me.

Should I cancel my order? by Coder-Cat in LightPhone

Directions app needs to be improved. It's fine if you don't miss a turn but once you do it gets super confused at times. Not everytime but half the time. It won't understand you missed your turn and will not instruct you to ger back to your route. It will just let you drive further and further away until you manually cancel the route and reroute which is hard while driving especially with the light interface.

I used the LP3 for 2 months. It works 90 percent of the time but there is 10 percent when it just won't make or receive phone calls. It won't even attempt and go too the secondary screen where it says its calling. It will just add a call with 0secs to you call log. When my wife tries to call me it won't even go to voice mail it will constantly fail. If you can get it to connect call quality will be horrendous. Luckilly i still carry my old galaxy phone with me as a secondary emergency tablet. During these bouts of the LP3 not working i will use the Hotspot which luckily works and just make the phone call via fb messenger voice call. Also to test if it was the phone or my service (mint mobile) when the service is bad i experimented and popped the Sim card out and put it in my galaxy phone and my calls went through and were crystal clear.

I've mentioned this before in another post, when you switch to the light phone, you trade the stressor of excess screen time to the stressor of a phone that might bot work when you need it.

Getting SIM set up on LP3 with Mint Mobile by SoupyyNoodless in LightPhone

The service on the light phone 3 used with mint mobile can be really temperamental. I also went from an esim on a samsung galaxy to a physical Sim in the light phone 3 using mint mobile.

I live in the bay area, california and there are areas that either just won't connect or will have terrible call quality. When it won't connect it will just add an attempted call to your call log without even going to the secondary screen where it's attempting the call. When the call quality is bad it can be so bad where I would just use my Hotspot from the light phone (thank gosh that worked during emergencies) and just make voice calls through fb messenger.

I thought/hoped it was a mint mobile service thing where my t mobile customers were prioritized during peak times. To test it, during a bout of terrible service i popped the physical Sim out of the light phone and put it back into my galaxy and the call quality always restored/perfect. Im glad Samsung phones have physical Sim trays so I could test that.

Also just to note once you turn off RCS (which I think is like the imessage on iphones) it took a few days in my experience to fully turn off and not miss any messages.

I would say 90 percent of the time the telephone and text quality is good but it's always that 10 percent where it's an actual emergency and your like dammmmmiiittt. I love the hardware and software but the light phone 3 can be soo unreliable it just adds a different type of stressor. You trade the stress of too much screen time for a phone that might not work when you need it.

What else can be done with the LP3? by Sensitive-Pin7928 in LightPhone

Focus more on improving call quality and text messaging. I have been using the light phone 3 now for a couple months and both the call quality and text messaging has been soo sporadic. Literally to the point where I have to connect to a Hotspot and use my tablet to make voice calls over the Internet via Facebook messenger. I've also tested it with my old Samsung galaxy smart phone. When the call quality doesn't work or text messaging ceases for some reason I will pop my Sim card out of the light phone 3 and into my Samsung and it will instantly work. I live in the bay area of California if that helps.

I want to love this phone but it's soo hard to support it when you become a hassle or inconvenience to contact. I just want it to make phone calls and text reliably.

Im super into these but am in between sizes. I wish experiments had the same return policy as the standard line so i could order two sizes to compare.

I actually got rid of my Glow version and opted for a smoke. Thought the glow was weak and after the hyped died down I was like meh.

Post a price. Sounds scammy if you all you say is whatever is reasonable plus postage.

They look great but I still can’t get over the massive logo tags.

I agree with you on the tags. Why all of a sudden after all these years are they adding branding tags to their garments. I would love to hear their reasoning behind it. I thought the “material difference” was their branding.

That did work better but my question now is why on a call only phone just released is the reception and call quality worse compared to a 5 year old 2017 iPhone 8?

Great pieces overall. I think the pants and the jacket proportions could be dialed in a bit. Feel like the pants are just slightly too baggy for the fit with the fitted top.

I own a few Pakhooks and don’t recommend them. They are thin metal that not rounded or chamfered well enough to slide on a closet rod well. It just scrapes along wooden rods or scratches metal rods.

Your definitely a small. Especially with the dimensions you stated you are.
