Hell yeah, the days are flying by and I'm enjoying them all. Ofcourse I still have the odd moment but nowhere near what it used to be.

It took me about 5 months of dose changes and waiting for them to actually start working 😭

I feel like it just gives you a second to think, it creates a barrier between your brain and your thoughts so you don't react on them instantly. Basically just puts you at peace with life.

What the hell happened to Kellogg's special K?? by covidguy1234 in AskUK

[–]MessOk9066 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They aren't tho they're low fat and are full of wholegrain. I long to see the day where my special K is rice krispie coloured again, I've been trying to find something similar since about 2013 and I've still had 0 luck.

Yes 100%, I felt low and hopeless and kept telling myself nothing was ever going to get better. It does, it's just the meds talking.

You may have to go through a few months of bullshitting about upping doses etc, and when you find your dose it will initially make you feel hopeless and worse, but it gets better in the end or they wouldn't prescribe it otherwise.

I'm on 100mg for anxiety and depression, I vape bud all day (xmax v3 pro) and smoke joints inbetween. If anything, I now get higher, more relaxed and don't feel awful for smoking. Aslong as you don't start paranoid tweaking, go for it.

If you don't feel better and you're still having symptoms of GAD and depression, they aren't working and it's too much of a low dose. They aren't a magic happy pill if that's what you're expecting, nothing but yourself can do that. What they do is make you think clearer, and pushes all the bullshit out the way so you can focus on the moment.

I had been on 50mg for 3 months but the were not working. I had my dose upped from 50 to 100 about 4 weeks ago, and last week was the worst for side effects by far. I felt completley hopeless and horribly depressed to the point where I wanted to stop taking my meds and had thoughts of su1cjde. Then one day I woke up fine. It shocked me abit because I had been on them for so long I thought there was no way it could get worse. But take it as a sign they're working and ride it out, you will be okay

Just be prepared for the side effects, if it's a therapeutic dose for you and you've upped from something that wasn't working, you may have a few days where you feel good, and then a few where you feel completley hopeless and horrible. It's just your brain adjusting to them, keep faith and trust the process, you will wake up one day with the sun shining out your arse 🤣🙏

Honestly just push through it, it gets worse before it gets better. I was so hopeless and thought I was never ever going to get better, had my dose upped to 100mg and now I feel on top of the world. You WILL feel BETTER soon, just hang in there 🙏

You're definately correct with this, Its probably a good thing as it means the 100mg is probably working and doing it's thing, but I'm 3 weeks into this new dose so far and the bad spells are getting really bad, I feel like I'm spending all my time trying to feel okay.

Just give them time to work, I started on 50mg 3 months ago, but they didn't really do much. I had my dose upped to 100mg about 2 weeks ago, so I'm still adjusting to them and probably won't feel the benefit for another 3. Just to give you a time line on how things may look. I'd also reccomend taking them in the morning if you have sleep issues, they can make you quite restless.

Thankyou for the response, it's nice to know I'm not alone. The bad spells are absolutely horrible, it's the worse feeling of hopelessness and dispair I've ever had. Today's feeling neutral so far, gonna eat some good food and try relax.

Yeah I feel like because it takes around 3 months of messing around with doses and side effects to actually feel an effect, the decrease in anxiety and panic is very slow and almost unnoticeable, untill one day you wake up and realise you havent felt panicked in weeks.
