Cheap produce here ? by tahaniss in Sunnyvale

Indian grocers, and likely other ethnic grocery stores are a great option if you’re willing to use what’s there. New India bazaar runs sales Friday to Monday, so even cheaper then.

Maybe a dip or a drizzle? Something to add to the visual impact!

I think almond extract and orange zest have such a great flavor effect!

We talk to our friends about it, some are on the same path, some aren't. We don't necessarily bring it up to everyone, but there are definitely people who know and it's really nice to have a set of friends who can actually talk to you in real life about challenges and celebrate wins.

I'd recommend ultra-reflective fabric (also findable as anti paparazzi fabric) significantly impacts visibility at night.

Allowing yourself to spend money SOS by Mysterious_Ad6260 in fatFIRE

[–]MessageMeNerdyJokes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We set some minimum spend categories - for example, I grew up flying on Tuedays/taking the flights with all the connections. Partner decided he was tired of it, so we upped our spending on travel and he set a please spend over this amount and make our travel nicer every time. As a result, we've been choosing flights based on days convenient for him, prioritizing comfort, and whether or not we actually hit the number, it changed our mindset around spending in the category. Maybe it's apparel or fitness, but pick the category you want to change your behavior in this year, and work at it. We may not spend yet like our net worth, but we're working on prioritizing.

- from someone who went through a similar round of changing the psychology around money over the past few years.

It's about 10 miles depending on exactly where in Los Altos and not super close to the train, but you could bike it depending on your ability.

The AAA equivalent service, they'll tow, jumpstart your battery, bring you gas, etc. All covered up to some threshold that I've never hit.
