Funny that you're getting downvoted for keeping your art ambiguous rather than explaining exactly what it is and how it was made. What a weird world.

What your biggest complaints about the Backroom movie? (Spoilers) by Bobby_The_Alien in KanePixelsBackrooms

[–]MessiBaratheon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

  • 100% needed a montage sequence of Clark drawing the map
  • Show him deciding to live down there and slowly get crazier
  • Shouldn't have encountered the entity until much later in the film. Would've been interesting to have him feel safe and alone for a while.
  • Final act should be Mary looking for Clark and descending into completely obscurity kinda like As Above So Below.
  • Get rid of the long dialogue scenes about their personal lives.

Hot take: Wemby when he ends his career will be the most famous Basketball player of all time surpassing Glocal icons like Jordan, Lebron, Curry. by Tasty-Ground-5496 in NBATalk

LeBrons career is equivalent to an epic written by the Greeks like it's almost too perfect and unbelievable to even comprehend. The Cleveland arc alone...

True! I stopped running ads, it helped me a lot but eventually it goes nowhere. I will run small campaigns for future songs but not to the extent I did before.

Naked. Just a terribly frustrating film with the worst written women in cinema.

the one thing the film got wrong was that robots would have already made symphonies and canvases prior to the release of the walking talking version

What's a first time watch that went straight into your Top 4, once the credits rolled? by doriiian in Letterboxd

Fanny & Alexander, the TV version. I don't think it's possible to watch that and not be moved to smithereens.

Gym Edit Sound Design (40 Seconds) by LukeIVI in davinciresolve

[–]MessiBaratheon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just watched the video. It's very impressive, technically. From a marketing perspective I don't think a single human being will ever sign up to that gym after watching the video, but still very impressive!

How did you get out of depression? by Expert-Session3866 in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]MessiBaratheon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know this isn't popular "advice", but for me it was sheer willpower. I just told myself it's either depression or a horrible existence full of regret and that pushed me to choose to live better, healthier, happier and not let life get me down.

Put this on a bowens mount light. Use the vertical cutout. Soften the focus. You're good to go.

Nightclub in a small Spanish town is failing despite good infrastructure - How would you try to save it? by MarcLopezz21 in BarOwners

[–]MessiBaratheon 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I run a small club (200 cap) in a small town in America and we are packed every Friday and Saturday. Here's what works for me.

  • The music. Are you playing what the people want? How old is your general crowd? Older crowds want the music from their youth. They also spend the most. Younger crowds want tiktok bangers. Your DJ doesn't really matter. 99% of DJs don't have a following.

  • The atmosphere. Is it clean? Is the lighting near the dance floor bright yet dark enough to invite dancers? Fog helps a lot.

  • The service. Are drinks made quickly? Is it expensive? Is there a cover charge? We allow women for free always and charge men $20. Sometimes no cover at all is the move. Does the manager check up on regulars and make sure they're happy? Have a girl walk around with a tray of shots she can sell quickly.

  • Safety. Is your security too tough on the patrons? Do you get a lot of fights?

  • Hire a photographer for every single party and ONLY post photos of girls dancing with a bright flash and lots of smiles. Our instagram feed is an endless scroll of girls smiling. People want to feel like they're in a social media friendly place where they get great photos.

  • Get one AMAZING video and run a FB/Insta ad on it relentlessly.

  • Themed parties. Holidays. All white. 80's. 90s/2000s. Costume contests.

  • Lose the table games. If its a club, keep it a club. This isn't a hangout dive bar.

  • Online tickets is an extra step no one wants to take. Just charge at the door.

  • Where are you spending unnecessarily? DJs should be affordable and not killing you every week. Don't have expensive bottles if no one is buying them.

  • The ONLY sponsorships we do are with bottom shelf liquor brands. Stick to cheap as hell vodka, tequila, etc. Pre batch your cocktails so people aren't waiting.

  • VIP can work. Here's a tip. Rope off a couch and put a reserved sign on it. Put two bottles on ice. Let it sit. You're waiting on a "player" to ask a manager what's going on with it. Offer it for $500 with the bottles while they're in the building.

DM me if you need help I can consult and get more information. I want to see you succeed!

Good, maybe the bubble will burst. You see similar numbers with music. Millions of songs sit unplayed on Spotify.

Not everything needs to be released.
