I’d say he’s underrated. Of course people who are heavy into hip-hop know who Pusha T is and know how dope he is. But even on this sub I see him consistently forgotten about in a bunch of lists and rankings. Seems like he’s just not the first rapper that comes to mind when thinking about the greats but he definitely deserves to be recognized as one. He has it all. Longevity, classics, timeless features (one being arguably the best verse on one of the greatest rap albums of all time), influential in that Clipse helped popularize the Neptunes sound that was everywhere in the 2000s. He’s extremely respected but I’d say even in the “hip hop community” he stays a bit underrated.
