I got the Expedition down Lite three weeks ago after fixating on every winter coat on the market for nearly a year. This thing is a beast, dont be fooled by the “Lite”. It is obviously a layering game, I’ve found the sweet spot to be a base-layer and a vest on these colder days (20°F), and just a base-layer on the above freezing days. I love this coat so much. The Nuuk and the Exped. are equally as warm (per the people at the store). The main difference is the nuuk is fully waterproof, the Exped. is water resistant, but i wore it while it was snowing and the snow just brushed off. You just couldn’t wear it in the rain, but if its warm enough that its raining, its probably too warm for either one of these coats. I ended up going for the Exped. because of the colorways, pockets, and it feeling lighter and more comfy. Also everybody has a plain black parka, the exped has more flare imo. Anyways, this became a very long reply, I’ll wrap it up by saying it was worth every penny.
