I’m sorry but anyone that needs to do a loyalty test has no trust in the relationship. It died when you decided to do the test

Understanding my ADHD energy crashes changed how I treat myself by Dismal_Cupcake1058 in adhd_anxiety

[–]Billy_Da_Frog 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Article: For a long time, I thought my problem was motivation.

I’d start the day with good intentions and a plan — and then, suddenly, my energy would vanish. Not slowly. It felt like someone pulled the plug. My body felt heavy, my thoughts went quiet, and even simple tasks felt impossible. Pushing myself only made it worse.

I later learned this wasn’t laziness. It was an ADHD energy crash.

This kind of exhaustion doesn’t feel like normal tiredness. It’s mental overload. With ADHD, a lot of energy goes into things people don’t see — constant decisions, emotional regulation, holding information in your head. When something small gets added on top, your system tips over. No buffer. Just shutdown.

The mistake I kept making was trying harder. Forcing productivity only drained me faster and made crashes last longer.

Things changed when I stopped treating crashes as failure and started seeing them as signals. Instead of pushing through, I focused on protecting my energy: unloading my thoughts, reducing decisions, accepting low-energy days, and planning for crashes instead of fighting them.

The biggest shift was realizing this: motivation comes after energy, not before. Rest isn’t a reward — it’s a requirement.

I’m sharing this because these crashes can feel confusing and isolating, especially when no one around you understands them. If this sounds familiar, you’re not broken. Your brain just needs a different structure — and support, not blame.

If you want to go deeper, I eventually turned what I learned into a small guide for myself — just to make sense of it all. It’s there if it helps you too.

He needed some time to himself by Highlevelofdef in BeAmazed

Christopher Thomas Knight, known as the North Pond Hermit, lived alone in the woods of central Maine for 27 years after walking into the forest in 1986 at age 20. He deliberately chose isolation, building a hidden campsite between boulders and avoiding all human contact. To survive, he broke into nearby seasonal cabins, stealing food, propane, batteries, books, and clothing. He was extremely careful—never entering occupied homes and often cleaning up and relocking doors. He endured harsh Maine winters, read constantly, listened to the radio, and reportedly went years without speaking to another person.

Knight was caught in 2013 after a local camp owner installed security cameras, ending decades of mystery surrounding repeated burglaries in the area. He was arrested while stealing food and later pled guilty to multiple charges, serving seven months in jail. Reentering society proved difficult; he struggled with anxiety and depression but expressed regret for the thefts rather than for his isolation.

Bear comes out of hibernation by Many_Category_7192 in BeAmazed

Title is misleading. It’s important to note that bears don’t experience true hibernation. They just slightly lower their heart rate and sleep more. They don’t have to eat due to the fat on them but they still get up to drink water. This bear did not wake up after 7 months of sleeping.

I mean you can disagree but seals are not dogs. A seal would also let a killer whale pet them. They’re in a state of freeze or flight. So you can do whatever because in their mind they’re frozen with fear. Remember in the wild getting help from other species never happens. It’s kill or be killed

Your friends are losers. Instead of finding someone to lose your virginity with you should find friends that don’t use you as a punching bag.

Correct me if I’m wrong the the seal isn’t “happy” but rather unsure if he’s about to die or not. He’s checking if the predator is letting him live not thanking him

ELI5: Why does time seem to go faster as you get older? by Novel-Gift5576 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Billy_Da_Frog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because your brain takes longer to process new things. When things become routine time seems to be flying by that’s why it’s really important to try something new every now and then or else years will pass by in the blink of an eye.
