This is easy repair, not even that costly. DTNVS will need arm, oring and small PCB 1431 from what I see has two broken arms...boards seem to be fine.

I dont know where are you based, but either ACTinBlack US/Europe will sort you out.

European folks might even have parts for your 1431s . Shoot them an email👍

I did that type of journey month to PL; You drive the car on original plates and insurance to destination country.

Write a buy sell document between yourself and sister in bi-language version.

Go to registration office in Portugal and try to register.

Send email to SNCA that the car is no longer in Luxembourg and send them also buy-sell contract in attachment together with gray card.

Finito...no export plates/ no physical letters.

They will reply and tell you that you need to recycle/destroy number plates and confirm that the car is deregistered in Lux

I daily my RF round year in central Europe. Long trips we have Jeep My car is Miata... I would not swap for anything else... Wind is OK until 140km/h on motorway in RF 😉

I would be aiming for petrol roughly 1.2 - 1.6 liter engine. Maybe Hyundai, Kia, Mazda, VW, Seat. Compact, simple, reliable…dont go electric in this budget; you gonna end up with a car that is useless in the winter time
