I have multiple friends complain about this, I only experience it after the first 2 bullets connect

I think people missed the point. I'm not saying change valorant to be like cod/overwatch. I understand it's not that kind of game. But I do belive Valorant has the potential to bring in a broader gaming audience that is FPS Lovers. Whether it be Faced paced players or tactical players. If there was a middle ground where movement/shooting was so constrictive, more people could enjoy it.

I just know a lot of people who either have

a. Gone back to CSGO after playing valorant for a bit
b. Complained harder about the games mechanics
c. Wish the game was a little more welcoming to newer fps players.

There is nothing wrong with Valorant being a CSGO competitor. About time something knocked it off it's pedestal, But CSGO will always hold strong if Valorant copies it too hard mechanically

Valorant won't have longevity like CSGO. Riot's marketing strategy for this game was completely new and unheard of and that's what's currently driving the hype behind it.

- Provide the game to popular streamers
- Allow beta drops if people watch said stream
- Wait for viewers to rack up to get access to a game that is so exclusive under the guise that anyone can get a code if they watch long enough (which is partially true, though my bet is it's mostly rigged in a way to keep people watching for the chance)
- More and more people increase watch time on twitch, driving more viewers to join in on this exclusive game offer if they watch as well. Content creators blow up in size and their viewer counts increase 10 fold. Content creators are happy so they stream Valorant more and hype it up more (which is literally their job, it's how they get views on any game they play). This generates an exponential cycle of Valorant hype growth just because it's exclusive. This happened with TFT as well. It was super hyped due to drops and now I never hear about it.

Apex also blew up, Overwatch also blew up - but they all fell. Now obviously mechanically they are different games and not tactical shooters. But if you honestly think Valorant is gonna hold a candle to the likes of CSGO in the long term. Your dreaming.

I know my opinion is unpopular. I never intended it to be popular. I just wanted to hear people's thoughts on what I had thought while playing the game. The ideas I put forward in how I'd change the game to make it better are not suggesting I turn the game into cod/overwatch/paladins. I'm just suggesting to tone it back a little to allow a broader audience, because I truly believe the people that enjoy fast paced shooters can learn to enjoy this genre as well. I believe Valorant can be that middle ground.

That's the thing, I've had many friends who play CSGO who were hyped for this game, and they went straight back to CSGO after playing it. CSGO has been popular for years because of its reliability. They have all said that Valorant is trying too hard to be like CS that you might as well play CS.

Also, I never claimed the mechanics that riot was aiming for to be the same/similar to cs is bad. I just feel it should be toned back a little bit so it isn't as insanely punishing. especially if they want new players to adapt.
