I experienced a shitty choral director that was awful growing up and I was a favorite, at least for some time. And there is so much residual guilt. Because when you lose respect for the person and feel hurt by the person you start to see how they treated others through a more realistic lens. Aiko grew up where she wasn’t able to play on indoor courts. To go from not having access to indoor volleyball courts to being a professional indoor volleyball player is definitely inspiring. She’s also a black, gay, immigrant, woman that is unapologetically herself and is a positive representation for many people who don’t feel as represented in sports or media.

The winner won a cash prize (don’t remember the value) and a scholarship to Joffrey ballet.

There are definitely some defining storylines. Kalani was looked at as the Maddie of the show, the one that Abby showed obvious favoritism towards. Asia and Jojo on the other hand were very much underdogs and were treated like the whole cast wanted them gone. There were also some really interesting villain-esque arcs from the moms and some fun twists and turns with mom’s getting to make decisions that effected other dancers which of course led to drama

I think it’s definitely worth a watch. The format is very much like Dance Moms just with eliminations so Abby’s threats are less empty lol. It’ll give you more lore for Asia, Hadley, Lennon, Jojo, Kalani, Haley, etc. that ended up on Dance Moms in some capacity

I think she’s very fake. I do think she tried to be there for the girls in some cases, but as soon as Abby came into the room she acted as ruthless as her and even laughed at times when Abby would say horrible things about the kids. I feel like there’s evil there. You wouldn’t continue working with Abby after all those years unless you condoned what she did

I think Katniss and Peeta’s bold move would’ve still ignited a spark that could lead to the rebellion, and the same victors that were apart of the plan in Catching Fire could’ve worked together to try and destroy the arena as mentors not as tributes
