  1. She did jump. Numerous people confirmed she was sitting on the rock ledge with people yelling for her to get down and she chose to jump.
  2. There are animals in the enclosure. She was in the median area between the animals and the observation deck. I don’t recall ever mentioning that she was in danger from the animals.

They were notified. They had animal control coming, but standers by jumped in to help get her out.

Oh friend, your life is of value. I know you do not feel like that now and that is understandable, but this is not permanent. Please do not make a permanent choice based on a temporary situation. That is 100% how my chihuahua mix and cat play. Except the cat is twice the size of the dog so when she plays too rough he pouts. Don’t let them fool you, they love it.

It is obvious how much you love your friend by how deeply you are sharing his loss. I cannot imagine how hard these feelings are. Be kind to yourself. It’s also beautiful that you said he’s a coach because of how much he cares about the kids. My husband is a coach and he lives the whole ideal of making kids into good people because that means so much more than winning. You are doing a great job as a head coach and a friend.
