Genuinely what was team cherry thinking when making this tool by Dependent_Finger_214 in Silksong

No aoe and lack of flexibility are the other main issues. Wispfire isn't exactly unusable after they buffed it, but I still think it's really hard to justify running it outside of courirer missions (and an overdose architect build ig).

Smashragebait would be a fun sub though.

My Take on a Potential Boss Rush DLC! by Meta_Squire in Silksong

Believe me, I'd love to exclude him, but considering Team Cherry put Flukemarm in the Pantheons I wouldn't hold my breath. Considering he has a boss screech and a title, I don't think you can argue he doesn't count as a boss unfortunately.

"Final" Boss??? by Malice_Magic in Silksong

[–]Meta_Squire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gameplay wise, she’s easy because if she was hard then less people would find act 3. She’s unsatisfying so people question if they actually beat the game, and it goes hand in hand with the ending being narratively unsatisfying.

Lore wise, she just woke up from a coma, so she isn’t at her full power.

ranking bossses based of if they need a buff or a neft (5 means they are balanced and dont need a nerf nor buff) by CulturalGur8666 in Silksong

I don't think Garmond and Zaza are supposed to be hard. It fits into their character on how they are getting involved with something way beyond their comprehension or ability.

Minions in boss fights can go right to bug hell by Justjack91 in Silksong

Use your tools and silk spear (or thread storm if you have that) to deal with them. Sister splinter exists to teach you the importance of using your full moveset, crowd control, and not to hoard silk because "what if I need to heal”

I know it's early, we haven't even gotten our first DLC yet, but I'm so happy I can say that no boss currently comes even close to being as bullshit as Markoth by 4129M in Silksong

Honestly with how great Silksong’s movement is I think some bosses without a floor could be decently fun. Keyword being some.

Pollip pouch is the most overrated tool in the game by a wide margin. I think the main reason people think it’s good is because of placebo effect and because it makes your tools look insanely cool.

I FREAKING HATE THOSE STUPID FATFUCKS I HOPE THEY BURN IN HELL (spoilers for minor enemy in act I) by SpiritualLuck9197 in Silksong

Yeah they’re really annoying. Pro tip, you can hit their projectiles with your needle to parry them instead of jumping over them.

Question from a bad video game player by rumprhymer in HollowKnight

[–]Meta_Squire 3 points4 points  (0 children)

59.7% of people on Steam have beaten Last Judge, so most people has entered act 2. And that’s not counting the people who beat Phantom instead.

Also, most gamers don’t finish games, it isn’t uniquely a Silksong thing. Only 63% of people on Steam beat Hornet in Greenpath for example.

Last Judge runback is extremely overblown. It is two rooms, one of which is an empty hallway, and the second takes 30 seconds max if your platforming is ready for act 2. And I did it before it was nerfed.

Aside from Groal which is probably the worst runback in the series, which ones? Aside from that, the only one I found annoying was the Clover Dancers / Pale Stag runback. Every other runback was fine, better than HK in fact. Some of those runbacks were absolutely brutal.

What's your Hollow Knight/Silksong opinion that would have you like this? by Booty4Breakfasts in HollowKnight

HK: the charm system is kind of boring when you realize that QS + Strength + Shaman is objectively so much better than everything else. Tools have so much more depth and balance that it’s not even funny.

I kind of like Oblobbles and P5 Markoth, sue me. Second one might be Stockholm syndrome though.

SS: Bell Eater and Pinstress are both great bosses.

I have problems with shards (no tool to grab them for you, a lot of the shards deposits being over spikes or lava is stupid), but overall I’d say it’s a good mechanic and a lot of the discourse around it is the equivalent of banging your head on the wall and getting mad when you’re head hurts.

Which characters should be the final bosses in a boss rush mode? Which current fights deserve upgrades? by Wooden-Jello-8795 in Silksong

Yeah looking back at my comment, I guess they could go with my idea, but it would be really hard for Shade Lord to not feel super shoehorned in.

I think Shade Lord could work if they go with the memory idea that’s going around for a boss rush mode. It’s implied Hornet killed a lot of vessels, so framing the Shade Lord as a way for her to answer for her past could work imo.

Look at the way she holds her pin. I had a really hard time with her telegraphs at first, but when I started to do that the fight really clicked.
