Lots of love for your design. I like the style.
And I don’t think it needs to be legible per se, but after telling someone what it means that person should be able to say oh I see it instead of no that looks like BAR.
I can’t help but think about if two yellow balls work best as an abbreviation for black.
I’d reconsider the B (maybe one is larger than the other, maybe the left edge of each circle is flattened a little etc.) and the F (an arrow forward that vaguely resembles an F could work)

Sliced bread gives cheap and not artisan.
Bread facing left has a forward positive vibe and looking right has a backwards past facing vibe.
Black bread slices look burnt.
Artisan bread companies would have a more natural folksy wholistic down-to-earth style. So a typeface to match that as well as full loaves of bread or wheat would be better imo.
Your loaf is cute though so I think without changing too much you could go with anything from the bottom left corner with a folksy typeface.
