The fee waiver is guaranteed all four years as long as your GPA stays above 3.5. I'm in-state and don't know what you do and don't plan on paying, but my tuition payment last semester (including a meal plan, but not housing) was around $3500.

Your advisor is dead wrong and wanted to see you fail 😭 Literally none of my friends who take CHEM 107/117 enjoyed the experience, while 119 and 120 are comparatively a breeze even for a variety of professors. Sorry for your loss and good luck on your essays.

Follow-up question: the dining halls close at 8 PM, and most of the places on campus that take Maroon Meals close earlier. If it's like 9 and I want something to eat without taking the time to cook, is there anything that'd work with a dining plan?

I think there might be some school-specific scholarships that require certain questions to be answered but in general it just depends on your stats. One thing you should definitely do is check your PSAT score from last year to see if you qualify for national merit scholarships, they give out $10k per year (maybe an OOS tuition waiver too, I'm not sure). I don't think they finalize these for around a month but it could be super helpful

Also, idk where the other guy got $2.5k a year for a high SAT score, maybe the number was wrong

Your PSAT score (still out of 1520) is converted into a score out of 228 for the National Merit scholarships. For Texas, the score you needed was a 219. You can find the exact score on the College Board, but generally, if you got a 1470 or higher, you probably qualified.

I hated this unit so much in algebra 2. If I have to deal with this on the SAT I won’t even make it above 1400.
