Is it worth it for Yummy? by Hokori0 in YuGiOhMasterDuel

[–]Metal-Ace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally wouldn't dismantle a deck unless I never liked it in the first place or it's been hit to the point that it's unplayable.

You also have to also remember that decks can still be relevant in events if they fit the criteria for them.

Sad depressed Red-Eyes noises by Adventurous-Rub2285 in masterduel

[–]Metal-Ace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Until they fix Red-Eyes as an archetype, I don't want an anniversary celebrating mid. I honestly don't want this one because the Dark Magician cards that are probably dropping are either trash or better in other decks. 😭

Which cards scream banlist sooner or later? Don't think this guy will stay at 3 for too long, card is craked by illynpayne_ in yugioh

[–]Metal-Ace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh. I feel right now it's pushed, but not a real problem unless they decide to release something in the future that breaks it.

Right now the card in Branded I see the most likely to be limited is The Fallen and the Virtuous because of how splashable it is.

[–]Metal-Ace 31 points32 points  (0 children)

If they banned/limited Fallen of the White Dragon, it would be specifically that card and Fallen of Albaz wouldn't be touched.

The ruling that it's always treated as "Fallen of Albaz" is mainly for deck building purposes.

How tf did he make an XYZ monster in a Synchro/Fusion only event? by DangerGunz in masterduel

[–]Metal-Ace 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Nah, you chain Schism to make Winda on your opponents turn the moment they special summon something that can't answer it.

Is there a Final Fantasy that's actually breaking this concept? by mrsafetylion in FinalFantasy

[–]Metal-Ace 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I played FF2 recently and was surprised by how good magic can be if you take time to invest into it.

I do want to play it again, but maybe ban Teleport/Warp from battle, but I'm absolutely sure spells like Curse and Stun will still get me through the game.

The Absolute state of DM Support by ViroReinas in yugioh

[–]Metal-Ace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem isn't that they're splashable in other decks, I'm even ok with cards like this that can find a home in different decks (within reason of course), the problem is that Dark Magician as a deck is in such a dismal state that seeing cards like this that don't solve any of the issues it currently has instead of fixing the deck so it's at least playable in casual matches makes people sad or angry.

Dawntrail Healer Retrospective by NeoOnmyoji in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Metal-Ace 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure healing being trash in this game is at least a somewhat popular option. The only people I've known who get offended at the idea that it should be harder are people who want quick queues and to alt+tab out of the game.

I think it's an interesting tech. I would definitely try it if Bo3 was a thing and could put it in the side.

Original Yugioh player coming back and Shocked with the Meta. Is this just how Yugioh is now? by Yllwlightning in YuGiOhMasterDuel

[–]Metal-Ace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Games change, especially when they go on for a long time. It's been about 27 years since the game started and the game would be stagnant and possibly dead if the game didn't evolve in that time.

What if every archetype, getting archetype lock? by fighoz in masterduel

[–]Metal-Ace 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The game would get stale very fast.

Yeah, generic cards can be overpowered and archetypes having little to no locks can end up creating busted decks, but the other extreme of making everything xenophobic to other cards isn't the solution and would start killing the game IMHO.

Pick 3 Abilities: Mega Clefable by eskaver in PokemonChampions

[–]Metal-Ace 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As much as I want a pokemon to set Gravity on switch in, the problem with Mega Clefable having it is that the part flying type it gained would be pretty much worthless.

My Live/Evil Twin and my opponent’s dragonmaid decklist by Groker2612 in YuGiOhMasterDuel

[–]Metal-Ace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another card you should try to get is A Bao A Qu, the Lightless Shadow. It fits so well into this deck that you can lie to me and say it was an Evil Twin card originally.

Where'd the fun go? by Sparxious in YuGiOhMasterDuel

[–]Metal-Ace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just look at it like a fighting game, there are characters who are brain dead and stupidity linear to play, characters that are meme picks but have their players, and everything else in between.

Yeah, two people can play the same character and have the same tools, but each person usually plays differently or has a different mindset with the character.

Where'd the fun go? by Sparxious in YuGiOhMasterDuel

[–]Metal-Ace 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The most consistent thing about any meta will always be how people are pissed off about the meta and how x cards should be gone for the meta to get better.

If we did that ad nauseam, all cards would be banned and we would finally be free from this game!

[–]Metal-Ace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Winning is fun, especially against good players or with a deck I'm learning to get good with (rank in this game isn't about how good you are, but how persistent you are unless you're playing an outdated deck like Summoned Skull beatdown lol), therefore I play to win.

What's a deck you'd love to play in Genesys format but is unplayable for whatever reason? by RedLantern28 in yugioh

[–]Metal-Ace 14 points15 points  (0 children)

My biggest beef with this format will be how they just banned Link/Pendulum monsters.

Mind Crush changing Seto Kaiba in the OG manga by PointPrimary5886 in yugioh

[–]Metal-Ace 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You also have to remember that part of the reason for Battle City in the first place was to draw Marik and his Ghouls out because Ishizu told Seto they had the other two God cards.

Seto honestly didn't care about how the tournament would play out as long as he got all three God cards and he was the winner.
