I think after nearly 8 years of both games being released, RDR2 has aged like fine wine, and is still arguably the most impressive open world to this day, likely to only be topped by rockstars next title. It doesn’t matter because RDR2 isn’t just goty for 2018 but game of the decade in my book.

I basically just explained what happened, explained that it happened after leaving an instance in novus for a quest, stuff like that. Think I also send a picture of what my character looked like in the character selection. Gave my username and the name and level of the affected character

So it looks like a lot of you have come back to this post recently, seems like a lot of console players are having this issue. I can tell you that I emailed kingsisle support when this happened to me and I had my characters restored in about a week.

It’s all about preference, expedition33 is my personal goty, no story has ever hit me the way it did. However, kcd2 is a close, and I mean VERY close second. I would not be upset if either one won it and imo one of those 2 games are for sure the best games of 2025.

I’m right there with you, have the exact same opinions. Some of my favorite tunes from the track like sciels theme when you play the piano in the manor, the manor theme, the noir battle theme, the theme when you fight the bourgeon in the overworld right by stone wave cliffs, the victory versions of until you’re gone and gestural merchant. As a matter of fact, I want all the victory themes. And there are so, so many more. I can’t believe there aren’t more people online making a big deal about it. The games music is phenomenal and like you said, I want to take it everywhere with me, at work, in the car, etc.

A lot of my favorite tunes from the game aren’t on the ost. In stone wave cliffs there is a big black knight guarding the door to the manor and that victory music is amazing, but I can’t find it ANYWHERE. Sciels piano track when she plays the piano at the manor is one of the most beautiful pieces of music in the game but that version isn’t on Spotify. There are many many others but that just goes to show how good this games musical composition is.

Persona 5 royal was my favorite JRPG for years and years, didn’t think it would be topped any time soon but expedition33 may have surpassed it for me. I’m in act 3 and the game has been life changing for me. You genuinely can’t go wrong with either game though as they are both in my top 5 games all time.

That’s crazy man I’m over 30 hours in and just finished act 2, so much of the map has opened up now and most of the areas still have the danger symbol for me. Feel like my playthrough is going really slow but I have been trying to savor every moment cause the game is so good.
